Eliminator Vs. Combat Tech in 1.2

This question is specifically for ASSAULT SPECIALIST vanguards who currently use the ELIMINATOR set.

 

Do you think that the Combat Tech will be a significantly better choice after 1.2, or do you think that Eliminator will still be useful?

My opinion is that you wil still want the 15% crit since you would still want your highest dmg attack to crit, stockstrike only barely touches 4k for me unlike HiB which hits 5k+ (this is of course on a glassy player) don't forget stockstrike is still on a timer so it doesnt really increase your overall dmg, with the crit on HiB it just gives you a better burst.

 

HOWEVER

 

warhero gear is coming out and hopefully have a different set of armor abilities, i hope..

I don't think the war hero gear will have different abilities , the screenshots i saw showed you needing to trade in the same type of BM piece plus coms for the war hero gear i.e. Battlemaster Eliminator chest plus 2000 odd commendations needed to trade in for war hero eliminator chest.

 

For pure assault i reckon eliminator will still be best , but the other 2 lines have got buffed and assault has got nerfed . The choice of effective build for most people will be a closer call than it used to be amongst the trees after 1.2 i think , eliminator is only best for builds heavily relying on hib.
