Didnt know that my question was a stupid one, i assumed that i would be assaulting there for the assault tree was for DPS. Should i have said tactics/shield? Kryptorchid Posted December 16, 2011 Share Posted December 16, 2011 (edited) Your best bet is to go directly up Tactics or Assault Specialist (whichever you prefer). The only abilities that you would want to have from Shield Specialization would be the two from the bottom tier (increase elemental damage, increase High Impact Bolt dmg). All your other points should be spent in the other trees. *This is assuming you are only interested in doing top DPS in PvE. PvP is a different matter. It has good survivability, more mobile than Commando because of less channeled abilities. Loads of aoe as well as single target nukes. Also seems to be universal in close/med/long range.
