Obtena
I had an interesting conversation with a guildy which makes me concerned about my setup. Is it possible to have too much defense/shield and absorb, especially at the expense of yummy damage boosting stats that increase agg-holding capability? Also, what are the points of diminishing returns for Shield/Absorb/Defense, if there are any at all?
GenXCub
In general, I put survivability over threat generation when talking about theory. Let's say that you're having an aggro issue. Would getting a head start at the beginning of a fight cover you for the rest of the fight? (i.e. the DPS can go balls-out and not hold back as long as you had a 5 second opener). If that's the situation, I'd still prefer the survivability stats. The only time I'd worry about threat is if the DPS ever have to hold back so you can keep aggro (also lulz that dps in this game holds back). midnitemonster
Just focus on your defensive stats and put taunt in your rotation. Problem mostly solved. I roll with an offensive and defensive relic, off of the Fabricator boss in Karaga's for a little boost to dps.
