You can 1v1 them already. The main thing to remember vs. both classes is to not let them immune your burst.

Sins are tougher then Maras in my opinion.

Maras really just require you not being hasty with your stuns and saving it for when they use their immunity. They'll trinket the first and then use your second. Fill their resolve up to early you are pretty much signing your own respawn ticket.

I actually find it much easier just to do the exact opposite, at least when fighting Watchmen/Annihilation. A lot of their damage come from their dots, so you do not want to them to stack it up.

Aoe stun them on their first charge, and get distance while damaging. If you do it right, they won't be able to get back into melee range until their charge is off CD again (12 seconds). When they charge again, use Cryo Grenade to stun them mid leap, and use Reactive Shield to break the root (Degauss is very important in this fight). If you timed it right, you should be able to get at least 10 meters on them, and just keep kiting.

After this, they should be able to sit in melee range of you. However, you should be close to full health, and they should be at half, if not lower. Pop your CDs, and just burst them down. A few additional tips:

- If they are Watchmen, then they can immune damage by stealthing. You can prevent them from immuning your burst by laying down a stealth detect on top of them, then use AP --> SS --> HIB. If you see them try to run out of the stealth detect's range, immediately run to the opposite edge so you can grip them back the moment they get clear. Also, you only have to trinket Stasis if they have dots on you.

- If they are Focus, the kiting strategy doesn't work as well. Since most of their damage comes from Smash/Force Sweep burst, and they have a ranged slow in Force Exhaustion, kiting will only get you so far. Try to watch for the number of buff stacks they have so you can pop your damage reduction accordingly. Also, a lot of Sentinels like to Force Sweep right after a charge. You can avoid it by using Reactive Shield (w/Degauss) and running away. Also, make sure you trinket their Stasis/Choke instantly. This can prevent 1 Force sweep which will save you a lot of damage.

- Against Sentinels of any spec, if you can live long enough for both your stuns to come back off CD (around 1 minute), you win.

Finally, always remember that as a Assault Vanguard, you can do significant damage at ranged. With CDs popped, you can deal upwards of 10k damage in 2 globals to a Marauder/Sentinel if they don't pop a defensive CD, all at 30 meters.
