Thoughts on approaching 50

Recommended Posts

So i just dinged lvl 43 and want to check if i'm on the right path. Been focusing on aim/endurance/crit for mods/armor/weapons etc....

Here are my current unbuffed stats.

Do those look about where they should be? Anything need to improve looking towards 50?

I'm in the lvl 41 Centurion PVP Set, except the belt which is a TT-15B purple.

Second question is about Lvl 50 gear. I hear people talk abotu which sets to buy, then hear people talk about buying champ bags and stashing them. What's the difference between them? And as a SS Vangaurd is one better than the other?

Thanks!!

First off, shoot your guild leader. How can you call yourself 'Knights who say Ni' and not 'Jedi Knights who say Ni'?

Champion gear is much better than your standard orange gear or you centurion gear. Champion bags will give you 15 centurion medals and 7 champion medals. If you can store up on bags now (didnt know you could do that) then it will give you a decent boost when you hit 50, which is a big difference from playing 10-49. If your lucky a champion token will drop and that will get you a 'free' peice of equipment.

If you already have full centurion then as you start replacing it with champion, move it over to your companions.

Cool, thanks for the info...

I would make sure you have the following done before 50 if you plan on PVPing,

1. 1000/1000 Merc/WZ comms and 1 champion bag to net you 6 bags at 50

2. Get on the GTN and buy a full set of epic 49 Crit/Surge enhancements, these are a must if you want to do any notable damage , I recommend pulling out the enhancements on your centurion gear and replacing them with these because the default ones are terrible.

3. Do the ilum/space dailies to get 8 comms and buy an epic barrel to put in your weapon since you won't be getting the PVP weapon anytime soon.

4. Get all your armoring/mods up to date, if your a cybertech this should be easy.

It may cost you 200-400k in credits but its worth doing, your t3 speeder can wait trust me :D

Nice! thanks a bunch for that. I' well on my way to 1000/1000 but I'll have to buy a champ bag and stash it. I'll also look for the lvl 49 stuff...

Only change the mods out if you are looking to trade of survivability for damage as you'll be giving up defensive abilities and endurance.

My advice would be to extract the mods from the champion gear so that if you dont like how the new mods work you can change back. It costs a fair few credits but at that stage of the game, money isnt really a major issue.
