floriwie
Hi, I am playing Deception Assassin and I have difficulties to deal these guys..... Now I know that my primary role is to pressure the healers but I am having great difficulties with these guys.... In Voidstar they are camping around the pillars and spamming people and preventing planting the bomb, or in Alderan, staying in the second level in the middle and spamming people and prevent capping.... It seems they are instant cast guys because mostly I don't see anything to interrupt with them..... I can't burst them that quick enough because of their mitigation and I am getting most of time short end of the stick..... I have no guild at the moment so I am playing as PUG and I can't expect from several people to concentrate in the same target to take him down quickly. So mostly, I ignore them and search better targets for me but because of the positioning that they are using, that is causing us the match most of the time... So any advice to how to deal them will be greatly appreciated.... Edited February 28, 2012 by floriwie
KavikaDestroyer
From the other thread it seems as though the best advice is to not get tunnel vision and change targets as necessary. Attack him until he starts healing himself then jump on the dpser while constantly keeping taunt on cooldown. Theoretically he's only as good as the dpser he's supporting so you have to be creative in how you eliminate one of the pair.
Astarica
You still have to attack the Commando first if he's a healer. He most likely still has Grav Rounds which is the hardest hitting ability in the game a healer can reasonably pick up, so you can't just pretend his DPS isn't there either. sielus
From playing deception and darkness this is what I usually do: If you happen to face him 1v1 your best bet would be to CC him and avoid him as much as possible, or even use the fade + sap combo (fade makes both you and your target out of combat, allowing you the use of sap). Because A well played commando is very hard to beat for a deception assasin - Badly played commandos, or lower level ones are very easy though -. If you happen to see him in a group play tossing damage or healing CC him as much as possible and attack the target he is trying to heal, try to pick low health targets to put the numbers in your favor so your team can help out and beat him at the end. As darkness it is quite easy though, keep your spike and electrocutes for casts you can't jolt, because this class is very cast oriented. Or simply grab him using force pull into an acid pit or some other hazard. As an assasin you have an unbelivable arsenal of tools to slow down a whole group of people, or protect your allies, make good use of them... Also there is nothing wrong about tossing a target into a bath of acid if you can't beat him, in other words, you still outsmarted him (and he might nerd-rage). Play like a chess player, see what could happen and react ahead of time
Cubertt
Your right they are the hardest healers for us to kill by far ( the other 2 are really easy as infil spec) that being said if you stay on him and all he is doing is healing himself he will run out of ammo very fast which will allow you to kill him. with proper use of all of your CCs and using low slash/ stun to get every backstab on the guy equal or lesser geared commandos are possible to kill if you are better then them. with greater geared ones, while they are hard to kill if skilled, its great to just make him have to heal himself instead of others and he WILL run out of ammo eventualy and you WILL kill him. it just takes time. (rather more time then killing other ones) i feel you though they are pretty hard to kill.
Zengrok
The OP is talking about Assault Specialist commandos, which are not healers. Sure they'll have a couple of heals, but you won't see them healing. Since I'm a commando, that's the only tip I will offer.
atorob
If they are well geared and competent it can be tricky. Main thing is open with your cd's to get some good dmg in and try to make him panic and start trying to spam his heals, be sure you shroud the knockback or vanish if he gets it off on you. At range a decently geared one will drop you fast. Use jolt/low slash/electrocute if they are up for interupts which should be plently on one target. The only real problem you should have is when he shields, and sometimes you can just dps through it if hes trying to run, but if not, try to keep him cc'd/interrupted til its down.
