Something has really been bothering me as of late: Is there a point to Thermal Detonator vs Explosive Dart? As I see it, ED benefits from Mandallorian Iron Warheads where as TD benefits from Firebug. If the damage between the two is negligable, then why would I want to spec into TD? Am I missing something? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

TD crits for more than 4K on a single target. That's why. But I do understand why you're unhappy with it, sharing cooldowns SUCKS, especially for a top branch skill. archfiend Posted February 11, 2012 Share Posted February 11, 2012 the damage is quite a bit higher (60%?). but single target only, it makes for a good burst set up. TD->powershot->railshot will all hit at the same time basically. I still use ED quite a bit (like on voidstar doors) when I need AOE, but most of the time I use TD for the higher burst capability.personally I wish it replaced ED, like tracer does for powershot Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
