Here are the stats of the Rakata Eliminator's Power Generator: +82 Power +98 Endurance +85 Aim +612 Tech Power +51 Surge Rating and the Rakata Supercommando's Shield Generator: +140 Endurance +77 Aim +37 Defense Rating +408 Tech Power +48 Shield Rating And here are the stats of an equivalent level of gear, Peace, the Mercenary Offhand; +72 Power +132 Endurance +112 Aim +51 Accuracy Rating +612 Tech Power If you loook closely, you'll see that the two DPS offhands in question, Peace and the Power Generator, provide the same Tech Power and roughly the same amount of secondary stats (82 power and 51 surge vs. 72 power and 51 accuracy). However, the Merc offhand provides 27 more Aim and 34 more Endurance, thus making the Merc offhand vastly better. Combined with the fact that you can switch some of the modifications around in the Mercenary Offhand, it's clear that Powertechs get the short end of the stick here.... I'm not saying that they need to have exactly the same stats, but they should have roughly have the same amount of Endurance and Aim (Endurance especially considering Powertechs are at melee range and thus are more prone to damage).
