Alloha Posted February 6, 2012 Share Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) I've just started a trooper after leveling a Jedi Consular as a Healer spec Now i am wanting to level a PVP Trooper i'm thinking about a Trooper in the Tactics Tree. If you like getting up in someone's face and putting steady pressure on them, it is a good spec. I will add though that if you want burst, go Assault, it is better for burst. RelicXay Posted February 7, 2012 Share Posted February 7, 2012 I'm spec'd in the Tactics tree and I got to say it is pretty nice to use fire pulse, stockstrike, gut, then HIB in succession while keeping ammo pretty high. During cooldown throw ion pulse and hammer shot to keep ammo up and stack 5 ion generator (+50% damage to pulse cannon), also using neural surge helps the mob together when they group up. It's a nice setup for max DPS. As for tanking vanguard, only played that in terrible gear but compared to others I rarely died (1-2 per WZ). Still learning on the assault tree but I would say the entire Vanguard line is a nice run & gun line, but don't forget to get into people's faces.
