For instance, social-generated combat buffs, from interacting in cantinas and the like. This would generate an incentive to hang out in cantinas, to get a buff you could take with you out into the world. Something that SWG did was to have semi-permanent wounds that you could accumulate, and they could be cured by hanging out in the cantinas with entertainers and dancers. I don't know how well this community would take to a "black-rot" creeping debuff like that, which is why I suggested an optional buff instead. But a lot of the socialization that grew naturally in some of the older sandbox MMOs came from incentives of this sort. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
