What armor are you full pyrotech powetechs using? Eliminator? Or Supercommando? I have my build down, just need to know what armor I should be goin for. Sojos Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 I've been working towards the Eliminator 4-set as pyro PT. Although the 2 set is completely useless (merc ability), the 4-piece +15% crit chance to rail shot is huge. Rail shot is one of our most used and damaging abilities as pyro since it is always proccing off rocket punch and flame burst. In lvl 50 warzones I am consistently critting for between 3400-4100 damage, with around 1400 - 1800 or so non-crit damage (i only really notice the crits ><). While the combat tech armor set has nice bonuses, the 4 set seems more tailored towards an advanced prototype spec. Similar to Rail Shot with a pyro, Rocket punch will proc often with the use of some abilities in this spec, making that 4-set bonus even sweeter. Personal preference really. I enjoy the numbers I put out from Pyro, but even with heavy armor I still feel like a glass cannon when I get focused. If you go Adv. Proto you have better pvp survivability, but I personally feel like my damage isn't as high as it could be. Both specs are pretty "in your face" for their max potential, with Pyro offering a slight range advantage. Find out which spec you prefer before you decide on armor. As a side note, I PvE dps as pyrotech PT so I usually don't bother respeccing to do my daily warzones. Therefore, if there are any Adv. theangryllama Posted February 1, 2012 Share Posted February 1, 2012 Are you pyro or a hybrid build that has PPA... use eliminators. If you are shield or AP (lol) then use combat tech. Shield makes heavy use of RP and AP has almost constant rail crits anyway. Just be warned that the 2pc is still bugged and causes carbonize to fail more than it works. Supercommando generally isnt worth it due to the way in which defenses work (or often don't) in pvp.
