Due high upload and download speeds decrease lag significantly

i have a pretty decent laptop and am getting about 38mgs down and 25up will this help knock out lag much or what? just a question i needed answered while i prep for entry into the game

it will help you somewhat, depend on how close you physically are to the server.

for example: someone living in an EST timezone will connect definitely better to an EST server than a west or EU, with EU being the worse.

Short answer: No

Long answer: Noooooooo

 

The packets are of a trivial size that might use 1% of your bandwidth.

 

Basically the only things that really matter are

 

1. Number of hops to the physical servers.

2. Quality of the connections in between.

nope. I have a slow connection(1.5Mb/s) and the only lag experienced during beta was graphics related.

you can sometimes lower ping through registry, although i dont recommend unless you know what your doing though or you could see really bad results.
