opiatesofsilicon
First off i'd like to say that this isn't a thread complaining about early access but instead i wanted to share a bit of my disappointment that i faced with the preorder system. Upon ordering my account showed that the entire amount was due to be withdrawn. It didn't appear as an authorization but a debt. Come to find out, towards the end of the month - they had credited back the 79.99 - leaving only the 5 dollar charge. Of course i read the FAQ afterwards at Origin, finding out that in reality they only charged me the 5 dollars, crediting back the 79.99. What the problem with this is, That i live on a fixed income atm. I am paid on the 3rd of every month - so of course, the money that i believed had covered my 79.99 is now spent so come the 19th, I will be unable to play, and the preorder i believed to have secured will in fact NOT be available. While i understand that in the FAQ is was stated that only the pre access charge would go through - i wish that it would have been stated clearly on the RECEIPT of what was to transpire, so i could have planned things a bit differently. I might have been able to enjoy the game, but now all I'm going to 'enjoy' is the 35.00 Overdraft fee i will be charged when Origin attempts to bill my account for the 79.99. I accept that ignorance is never an excuse, and that IT was my responsibility to read the FAQ - but maybe in the future you fine gentlemen at EA could adjust the Origin service so that it CLEARLY indicates how you will be billed. Just wanted to QQ, since I wont be playing SWTOR until Jan. 3rd now. :*(

chucklebutt
I tend to put in a BBB complaint when I have an issue with someones service. It's the best way to warn others and businesses will quickly respond to them.

opiatesofsilicon
Well - had they clearly indicated what would happen - it would not be my 'fault'. The point of the post is to point out they need a CLEAR INDICATION of how you will be billed on the receipt. not some tiny entry in a FAQ.
