[SUGGESTION] PVP System For Ilum

Looking back in time, and having long conversations with friends about what part of the actual pvp they don't seem to like, i thinked about a great mode for Ilum:

the conquest of PVP Objectives. that would work as below:

During the week, you gain or loose Control points (CP) in planets like Ilum.

One CP can be a Base, or whatever important placement there is.

One CP can be taken when the operation leader use the item "Call to arms holoprojector*". In this moment, when you arrive to a CP (The item is active for 1h)it will be consumed and you'll receive a message saying that the war began for the control of that base. (Both Factions)

When you gain a CP, during 16** hours it can't be retaken. During this time the CP can be improved paying credits*** (or commendations***) to add better NPCS each time you pay***. (With a limit, of course). When the Cooldown of the 16h** finish, this Control Point can be retaken for other faction.

On Sunday the CP would be closed (2AM** GMT). On monday at 8 AM GMT (6 hours later**), the weekly experience would be counted.

-- For participation in the CP conquest. WELL DEFENDED (not lost that week)= 2*X Valor, 2*X creds, 1 PVP Medal for Special Gear.

-- For participation in a CP conquest. LOST (after conquering it) = 1/2*X valor, 1/2X creds, random pvp gear (Med tier).

-- For magnific defence of the CP (Kill more than 3 enemies(solo kill) during an assault) x valor, x creds, random pvp gear (Med-Low tier).

-- For magnific atack of CP (Kill more than 3 enemies(solo kill) during an enemy counteratack). x valor, x creds, random pvp gear (low tier),

AT THE END OF THE MONTH, the faction that had more CP during 2/3 weeks wins:

4*X valor, 4*X creds, 500 pvp comendations, 5 bags of Battlemaster, 1 random pvp gear special. TO THE PLAYERS THAT ACHIEVED as minimum the objectives 1 and 2 during two weeks or every weeks of the month one of those and, 3 and 4.

This way the PVP would have incentivation and would be more funny and inmersive.

* placeholder.

** palceholder. take in mind that my idea is to simulate a nice feeling of the players being into a new hyperspace war, and thus the troops and themselves needing time to recover from losses, get supplies, etc.. (no real need to get them, just a time simulation).

*** or whatever item would be used for it.

Please take note that X is not a real valor, and that 4x means 4 times than the stablised in objectives 3 and 4, while 1/2*x means 1.50 times more than the established.

i will really thank any of the great community members that will read this suggestion to post their feelings about it, and the bioware big guys to take note of it.

Idea based on experience on other MMO games, on P&P RPG games and with some imagination.

I like the idea of a weekly tally.

Final Fantasy 11 has this, it was tied to each zone, where a specific faction would own a zone based on different factors. Some being: How many experience yielding mobs were killed within the zone by each factions, How many deaths occurred by each faction, how many outpost battles (spawned PVE) events were won and by which factions.

When the weekly tally was completed, on Sunday Mornings, the zone would change ownership. The owner of the zone would get benefits such as NPCs that allowed instant warping back to a location of their choice, items that could be purchased for trade skills that were specific to that region (as a quick example maybe a special crystal can be purchased unique to ownership of the Ilum zone that would allow crafting a unique lightsaber or blaster...), and an experience or faction bonus for each mob killed.

I can see that adapted to the way SWToR works.

The idea of building up defenses for an owned Control Point is great, but there would have to be major beneficial boons for keeping a control point, otherwise people won't defend it, and it leads to Win Trading. You'd find no people pumping defenses unless there was a tangible benefit for doing so.
