Knew Bioware/EA wasn't ready for an MMO

You developers/employees/anyone involved in the making and/or maintenance of the game are absolute morons. I have had it with this game. I want to make it clear that this isn't me whining or crying or moaning about my game not working. This is about you people releasing a game WAY too early when you clearly had not ironed out an inSANE amount of bugs/glitches/issues....all for the sake of getting christmas sales for your already fat-*** wallets.

You preached about making sure servers were going to be stable for launch (which they were fairly so in the beginning) and stress testing things repeatedly to ensure a smooth launch....yet here we all stand one month (and a week for those who preordered) later and what has this game done??? Nothing but gone downhill...

If you guys weren't prepared to devote the necessary manpower to operate/maintain a fully-functional, steady mmo....it would have been better if you had just not made the game at all. Honestly. Server lag/disconnects are insanely rampant, bugs and glitches abound after level 30 (maybe because beta testing stopped at 30 and no one bothered to do their homework on the developing team), AMD's 6900 series graphics cards (their FLAGSHIP graphics cards right now) aren't even fully supported.....and you IDIOTS are already releasing new material???? Is that a friggin joke???? Releasing new content for a broken game is just going to give you more things to iron out....and at your pace for fixing things, that means there will still be beta glitches in the game when you people decide to release the first star wars expansion pack....

Just something to think about, but in the meantime there are plenty of other very good games to support that actually work properly. So mull it over EA/bioware/whoever else, but do it without my 15 a month. Morons.

i agree to this seems like they released the game way to quickly and now to think of it even if they took ether 3 months it would still be buggy as hell think 1 more year of testing and developing issues maybe would of got a better release this game has WAY to many bugs and with 1.1 they released it JUST BEFORE the free month whent away to keep people to stay in the game. but all they did was rush more content with out fixing the first content they released the game seems so buggy and geting worse and worse they rather release more content to make people happy then make a good game. im giving this 6 months or the game will die im sure

you anywhere in the southeast USA? i'll come fix your computer for $100 an hour and if i can't get swtor running well before the sun sets sunday, you'll owe me nothing. the problem is most certainly on your end. it can be fixed. it will not magically go away though and that's what so many of you want. then you get mad and come here to complain.

game runs flawlessly on most of our computers. game was not released early.

RAWR!

Look dude you make a few really good points in your post, yes the game as released is a bug fest, yes BWs graphic card support is a pathetic joke right now, yes CS is…nonexistent it seems.

But seriously, you need to consider decaf...I mean for real. Calm the %$ down dude. I know it sucks that you can’t play…I feel the same way but this isn’t going to help. Just unsub, give your feedback and wait till they fix this stuff. Then resub and enjoy the game.

In the mean time, breathe in, breathe out and relax.

I've had enough too. Not with Bioware, but with you whining, trolling, ************, moaning, complaining people. It's been a mounth since release. If you are so impatient, go play something else.

I don't know how many of you played WoW back on release in 2004, but I remember all the bugs and crashes and horrible customer support. You cant compare a game that's been perfected for 7+ years to a brand new mmo.

BioWare - keep up the good work guys!!!

Hello everyone! As a reminder, we do ask that all threads contain constructive, helpful and respectful content that is relevant to discussion of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™.

We would like to bring your attention to this message from Senior Community Coordinator Allison Berryman:

Hi Everyone!

Part of our goal for the Star Wars: The Old Republic community is to ensure that our Forums are a great place to come to discuss all aspects of the game, and to make them a friendly environment for our players. We welcome all kinds of constructive discussion and feedback, but want to remind everyone that we expect your posts to be:

  • Constructive
  • Helpful
  • Respectful

If you haven’t done so recently, you might want to review the Rules of Conduct, which we do enforce on the Forums.

While we absolutely welcome constructive feedback regarding the game, we’ve seen many threads recently that are not constructive or helpful. We encourage you to share ideas about what you’d like to see in the game, but will not permit discussions that do not have any constructive suggestions or content, or those that are made solely to trash the game or community or offer no topic for discussion. Our developers and the Community Team are always reading the forums and gathering your feedback, but constructive criticism is much more useful to us than posts that have no explanations or details and suggestions.

Constructive, well-reasoned feedback that offers specific suggestions about what you as players would like to see is extremely useful to us, and we’d like to see more feedback of this nature. However, feedback that states “this game sucks” and doesn’t offer actual suggestions about how to improve the game is not useful and only serves to incite argument, which in turn can make the forums very unfriendly to those who are looking to constructively discuss the game.

We will be closing more threads that do not offer constructive feedback or have degenerated into unhelpful flame wars. We expect everyone on the Forums to respect each other, even when disagreeing, and will not tolerate insults or disrespectful posts. Please remember to use the flag feature to report posts that violate the rules to our Community Representatives – don’t fight! Responding in kind to someone who has broken the rules only makes a thread worse.

We want to work with you to improve the Forums experience and to encourage constructive discussion, and we look forward to your feedback!

If you would like to make constructive suggestions geared towards improvement of the game, or discuss game issues/bugs, we encourage you to participate in the following threads:

The Ultimate Bug List

The Suggestion Compilation

We will now be closing this thread. Thank you for your cooperation!
