Rollback or Sub Cancellations

First post and probably the last.

I'm very concerned with the situation at hand for one for various reasons,

1. Incentives to cheat were created, typical game theory shows us that, in

general, if someone beleives he can get away with "cheating" he will do it.

If there is a lack of negative feedback from an action, the human animal

will simply have no incentive to stop the action.

2. The way people are taking this and insulting others rather than trying to

reason with them. "I don't like "x" i quit" "i'm glad you quit". I don't know

about you all but this kind of behavior is completely unnecessary, all you

have to do is state the reason why you beleive the user overeacted, calmly!

It's a game, why are you so emotionally invested that you're going to hit

someone who is down? Sounds like a power trip to me and it is re-enforcing

negative behavior, just look at this whole thread for evidence.

3. Nobody actually pays attention to pertinent information. Those who dislike

the cheating has received pertinent information about whether or not

a rollback is necessary, yet nobody evaluates the pros and cons in an ac-

curate manner.

It has been stated and i'm para-phrasing that Valor gains were not great.

That the exploit only lasted 2 hours, nobody leveled from 1 to 60 rank

levels in 2 hours. I for one would like to have confirmation since nobody

actually bothered to question that or simply ignored it. Personally i

invested several hours in this game and before i decide whether i will quit

or not, i would like to know if my reasons for quitting are based on false-

hoods or not.

Now to clearly establish whether this is worthy of worry we need a method.

One method would be to figure out certain answers in a series of follow-up questions.

-Was there an exploit?

-What IS the exploit?

-How long was this exploitable?

-In the "best" case scenario, how great was the reward during the time period?

-In reality, how great this reward would really be?

-How long would it take a normal player to reap the reward through normal means?

As long as those answers remain unclear to everyone of you, i highly suggest you relax your hormones. Irrational emotional responses will warrant an irrational emotional response from Bioware "IF" their financials take a hit from "YOUR" irrational responses.

If you want this game to succeed, analyse the truth of the situation and then respond to it, if you respond to falsehoods then obviously there will be unintended consequences.

Now that this is out of the way, can someone actually answer these questions that everyone probably has on their minds, clearly and with evidence or even better, reliable sources.
