Need immediate help!

I have just negotiated a price from $350 to $260 and I need to know if this can run SWTOR!

 

Windows XP

 

Intel Core 2 Duo e6700 C2D processor at 2.66 GHZ

 

2GB DDR2 RAM (Upgradeable to 8)

 

Nvidia performance graphics card 8600GT

Minimum Specs

Operating System

 

Star Wars ™: The Old Republic ™ can be played on Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.

Computer

 

Your computer should have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+ or better, and an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2.0GHz or better.

RAM

 

Your computer's RAM should be as follows: for Windows XP: 1.5GB, and for Windows Vista and Windows 7: 2GB. For PCs using a built-in graphical chipset, 2GB RAM recommended.

soo. yes. probably only on low settings though.

You'd be better off saving the negotiated money and putting something on lay-away that isn't old school.

 

In my opinion that's a waste of money. Everything about those specs is old.

My system is some what similar:

 

Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 3

Processor: Intel® Core2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13GHz (2 CPUs)

4 Gigs of DDR2 Ram

ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series 1 Gig

 

I play on the highest settings without issue, but loading new planets can take 3 to 7 mins depending on which one. Also riding on the taxi I get an FPS hit due to loading. Other than that I have 0 issues fighting, questing, flashpoints, whatever.

 

I'm gonna echo what someone else said and say GET MORE RAM, 4 gigs minimum. DDR2 ram is stupid cheap these days.
