Any elite etc. I just stick with Jorgan from the beginning and later switched to M1-4X in damage gear. Now I use Tanno Vik in damage gear due to his melee abilities. Considering you're going for a damage talent line and with Jorgan, then I'm sure Elara wont be needed alot unless you're up against alot of tougher enemies. EpothosII Posted January 10, 2012 Share Posted January 10, 2012 I leveled entirely as Assault spec, and for a good while, I used Aric. He did great DPS and when I sent him in first, was able to tank long enough for me to thin out groups. However, I eventually started using Elara to get her Affection up, and slowly I liked her more and more as a companion. Going from her to Aric, I notice a huge loss in durability. Level 44, btw, so this goes for later levels too. I think as Shield spec you usually use something that hits hard, and as a squishier build, like Assault, Elara is a better choice. Once I got Vic and Yuun I geared them up, but I still use Elara any time I'm soloing. If I get in a group with a good healer I go with Yuun, his dps output is amazing.
