But it depense a bit on what you understand as "beat them". since imho is yout main task as a shieldspeced Vanguard to keep as many of them as possible from dealing significant dmg to everybody else , rather then landing the killing blow on someone or focus a single target yourself. If you really have to perform a 1vs1 for what so ever reason,then try this: shoot from the distance with what ever you prefer till he start channeling a spell. (Hammer shot, full auto, sticky grenade,etc what ever you prefer ) Storm(unterrupt) , Stockstrike , 3 steps to the left to avoid the AoE-Knockback. Ionpulse for the dmg debuff while closing again, riot strike(interrupt) (since they most likely have started healing or lightning by now) , gut, Hight Impact, stockstrike. get some distance to have the interrupt with storm ready again and repeat. Feel free to add Neural Surge, cryogrenade and harpoon anytime he tries to escape your rotation since you don't have to save them up for other targets in a 1vs1. just my 2 cent Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ururururu Posted January 9, 2012 Share Posted January 9, 2012 (edited) if you are outgeared/outleved it is probably not possible to beat an equal skill sorc. play smart until then. make sure to get the first hit on them. get them on a damage deficit (sticky -> storm -> stockstrike -> hib -> ion). try to harpoon them back in when they use their speed run. save stun grenade for when you can't interrupt or as a finisher. it really helps to use consumables (15% expertise, crit or surge adrenal, relic, etc.). Potions, Adrenaline Rush, or Reactive Shield. * Always interrupt Force Lightning. * CC them when their shield breaks. Smash em' for big stockstrike crits. * If they try and sprint away + force lightning you, Harpoon them to you or Storm. It's preferable to do Harpoon and then Storm to interrupt their casts. * Go for chain interrupts. Storm -> they'll knock you back and run -> harpoon them if they cast or riot strike them if they're close -> cc them -> dump another interrupt -> repeat * Pretty much out HP them.
