Manalishy Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 So im currently level 36 playing advanced powertech spec, and im starting to see lots of gear with more than just aim and endurance. When i turn in missions im starting to see the powertech option and the mercenary option, the powertech option having defensive stuff on it. so my question is this. im a dps powertech so should i take the mercenary gear with power/crit/surge? or should i grab the powertech gear with defense and absorbtion? or is that gear only for shield tech powertechs. maestruljedi Posted January 5, 2012 Share Posted January 5, 2012 well, def/absorption/shield are clearly tanking stats, and since you're not a tank, you can safely skip them. Especially if you use a generator, not a shield. Going for a dps spec with tanking gear only gimps you -- unless you want to solo 2-man quests or something. Go for the merc gear, get all the custom gear that you can, you can even find custom belt and bracers, look for "Reflex" mods rather than "Commando" mods and... profit.
