DarthBaptist
This has been revealed in the new info they gave out today. They want to give more incentives to go to Ilum. However, as so many servers have faction imbalance (empire outnumbering republic) how will this work? A group of 20 empire players camping the republic base hoping for a republic player to kill? Well expect to wait a loooooong time then. And the other way around, how can a republic player hope to kill empire if they are outnumbered. Imo bad idea. This is FORCING people to do pvp if they just wanna do PVE dailies. There must be some other way to encourage pvp Edited January 5, 2012 by DarthBaptist
DarthBathory
Going to Ilum isn't really forcing you to do PvP. I still like the PvP servers still. If you ask me they should dumb down the lvl 50 NPCs and allow most planets to be accessible by both factions and have attacks on each other planets. However I wouldn't mind Ilum either. My Question is if there will be a lvl cap of who you can kill. Kinda annoying if you're a lvl 25-35 getting pounded by a 50...

septicmeg
I am happy to see this, no more of players ************ at me or my guild mates for turning up and killing the other side when all the players are doing is standing there with the other side. http://www.feck-it.com/ilum_001.jpg http://www.feck-it.com/ilum_002.jpg http://www.feck-it.com/ilum_003.jpg The pvp on Scepter of Ragnos is to stand around and not kill anyone and when you do you upset the server Edited January 5, 2012 by septicmeg
Libertine
well, its better then the constant flipping of the objectives which gives no incentive to actually engage an enemy ... i mean right now if im 0/5 for the daily and want it done im sure as hell not gonna attack a rep flipping the objective cause that would be counterproductive towards finishing the quest. let 'em cap all 5 and then flip them ... Yep, that's how we know Mythic has "helped" BW with pvp in this game. With Mythic I mean WAR-Mythic, not Daoc-Mythic...obviously. How did people get high rank in WAR? They ran around in a group, killing NPCs and capping objectives...preferably without fighting any other players! You thought AV was lame after they removed all forms of PvP in it? Well, you're right...but that's how "pvp" looks in mmos these days. The kiddies don't want to compete, they want gear!

psychosiszz
Good first step. Though Ilum on Bloodworthy will be amusing. I was there yesterday and it was me and 1 other republic guy while there were 20 odd Sith knocking about. Crazy imbalance.
