In short, when he was but a baby, his settlement on Tatooine was raided by Tusken Raiders who superstitiously noticed that his Ratataki tribal patterns matched closely with a Tusken sacred tribal pattern; so, they spared his life. Raised by the Sandpeople, he was named "Krr'bathi" by the tribal elders and lived among them as one of their own. His reverse-engineering abilities served the Sandpeople for many years until he was captured by Imperials in a failed Tusken raid. Now he serves the empire, but is known to take on the garb of the Sandpeople and slip into the barrens of the Dune Sea....
