  1. What if PW was to; 1. Reset Force Speed Or 2. Activate a Force Cloak for any team member within its boundary. Scoundrel has this but it is mobile, PW would be stationary. Or 3. Be the equivalent of Black Out (stationary) Or 4. Drop the healing buff (tank) and give armor buff for the Shadow bringing the armor up to what it once was to help with spiky damage Or 5. Give the healing buff to the balance to assist with the heals received from DoTs Or 6. I ran out of ors
  2. Just toying around with an idea. Bounty terminal: Someone checks a bounty terminal to see if any bounties are available. If a bounty was available that person can select it. Just about every planet has a scanner droid at the space port. When a person passes this droid they are registered as being on that planet (a Bounty terminal will show this information) once the BH is on the planet their mark is on, a seeker droid will be used. How does a player appear on a Bounty Terminal? When a person opens a Bounty terminal this triggers a timer on this person, after 30 minutes (more or less) expires that person will appear on a Bounty terminal. The timer allows the person to finish what they were doing on the terminal and move out without being hit or a terminal being camped. Another way to appear on a Bounty terminal is when the mark is killed that person can use his/her own credits to place a bounty on the one that killed them. All bounties are on a 2 hour time limit. Once that 2 hours is up the bounty expires. The rewards can be on an achievement system like what is already established and the rewards for accomplishing these achievements can be cartel coins (some achievements already in place have CC rewards). Accomplishments can be killing your mark or surviving a bounty. For the story side… replace a Bounty Terminal with a NPC and during the conversation the player is spotted consorting with this NPC which causes him or her to become a mark (getting a mark placed on the player could be done on a random basis). If anyone has any other ideas please share.
  3. I see the point so someone can just buy gree armor on one toon and mail it to another in my legacy with mods installed that they bought using comms. Or place the crystal in a legacy weapon that can be passed around the legacy. The reason I posted this was because in Gen Chat someone was asking questions about crystals. I posted a link to the YB crystal. Their response was words to the effect of, "I can’t use that until I hit 50, and why would I spend 250k on that when I can spend 50k on one with the same stat and use it at lvl 10."
  4. What are the thoughts on CE items being Legacy Bound? Several items are granted to our characters after we log with a newly created one. I know we can transfer funds from one toon to the other and buy the item ... again... if we want to. CE was or at least should be an account thing. Case in point: the CE (Pre-Order) black and yellow crystals are no longer seen in game or is very rare to see in game. Not because of it being a rare item. It just costs 250k for an lvl 50 (41pt) crystal or 100k for an lvl 47 (31pt) when there are the 41pt crystals on the GTN for as low as 50k and can be used at lvl 10. To add to that if you buy the lvl 10 41pt crystal you can spend CC and be able to copy that item to another toon thus making it legacy bound. If anyone seconds this motion and it is put in play. For the love of all things holy, do not put a CC cost on this to unlock. No CE item should have any CC cost associated with it.
  5. I play a healer (Operative) now, but have run my Shadow as a tank. Therefore, I know both sides of the story. I have even ran my Operative and Shadow as DPS. I Pug a lot seeing how my Guild is small and I am still collecting BH comms. As some people say, sometimes you get a bad PUG sometimes you get a good PUG. I really know I am in a bad PUG when I have to cloak to drop agro. When I am in a good PUG, my energy stays full every stay alive and I can contribute to the DPS. Most of my PUGS have been good. When I am Healing, I have yet been bashed for my ability. Now I have been told that it seems that I maybe a little under geared for this (HM LI), but that has since changed although I am still working on gear and tweaking it. I don’t bash other players either, but may put in comments like "18k damage <boss> does is a little hard to heal someone might want to interrupt that" when I do get a good tank I always complement them on a gj (in a WZ if I see protection points for using Guard they always get my vote, unless I have a guild member there with me then they get my vote ... it’s a loyalty thing). If I get a not so good tank, I am always happy giving advice (if they will hear it)
  6. Could this cause the planet to sway from Sith Empire to the Republic and vise versa?
  7. DS is a must for me. when i have my 2 HoT on my tank and he is holding agro very well enough that i dont have to heal my DPS with my big heals. i hit stim boost and start to spam DS with a crit chance for DS close to 60% my energy fills up remarkably fast while keeping my tank topped off.

  9. Bring items into the game that are strictly craftable and better than vender items, but with a catch. The crafted items have lower durability and diminishing durability (decay). Each time an item is repaired, it lowers the durability of that item eventually bringing it to zero and can no longer be used (i.e. 200/200 damaged to 100/200 repaired brings it to 150/150 and so on). Each death lowers the durability 10% for PvE and 20% for PvP. These items can be improved by certain crafting skills, but each improvement lowers the durability exponentially (i.e. 10% -20% - 40% - 80%). And/Or Bring expendable items (consumable) to each crafting class. Biochem has buff stims and med packs Cybertech has grenades Synthweaving, Armormech, Armstech, Artifice and have no consumable items. These could be item buffs to increase stats, DR, movement increase, or some other beneficial buff. Take companion gifts out of loot drops from missions and make them craftable for each Crafting class depending on the type. Diplomacy could be used to give increased light or dark side rate. Investigation could be used to analyze armor to increase its effectiveness. Treasure Hunting could be used to locate appearance modifications for armor and weapons. Underworld Trading could be used to modify weapons to be more effective.

  11. My Operative http://i1277.photobucket.com/albums/y484/Gary_Decker/Screenshot_2012-12-02_11_02_26_736323.jpg I get alot of comments like "Your not wearing any pants", "Your distracting me", and "We wiped because I was looking at your @ss"
  12. I ran a Shadow tank and I agree that stacking too much Endurance over defense/shield chance/absorb is not the way to go. My stats: (before i switched him to DPS for a change of pace) around 30% damage reduction (armor) 30% def chance 60%+ shield chance (kinetic ward) 60% shield absorb (and i had relic that gave absorb chance increase) My HPS were around 20k-21K This is all from memory been playing a healer more now adays. The only downside with a Shadow is multiple mobs with 8 charges of kinetic ward can go quick. With kinetic ward up, I could mitigate 80%-90% damage. A tank with 25k health with low defensive stats will take 20k damage faster than a tank with 20k health with defensive stats maxed as much as he/she can. And what other tank class has an ability to negate 100% of a force/tech attack? Resilience? Many people claim that the Shadow has the best agro management then the other classes, I kind of agree.
  13. One thing that would or might help people Spec more to tanks is if they received a little more love in WZs. I am not talking about ToR. I am talking about the community. I ran my shadow in tank spec a lot prior to 1.5 in both PvE and PvP. I received many complements from the healers in the group on PvE. If I did not get any complements, I would ask the healer how I did (in their eyes). I had gotten comments such as 'great", surprisingly solid" and "adding you to friends list.” I never really bothered asking the DPS people in the group how I did because all they are there for is to help beat the rage timer. Now in PvP is where it just becomes ...meh. I have scored protection points 100k-300k in matches and I got no love from anyone on the team. In fact, I think I saw a -1 at one time…lol. I even made a comment after I hit the 300k protection in general chat on the fleet "Being a tank is like being an Army Cook, It is a thankless job. When they are there ...no one cares. When they are not there..." I play a healer operative and when I see that a tank has been using his guard in a WZ, whether he placed it on me or not he always gets my vote. As my healer, I love to see a tank in a WZ with me. Because I know we have a real good chance of holding a node, which leaves 6 others to go take another node. With me healing him, he is damn near indescribable, if they stop attacking him to try to take me out (with his guard and taunts giving me 80% damage mitigation), I am very hard to take down while throwing out AoE heals for the both of us. Tanks are very viable in both PvE and PvP. Show them some love.
  14. Going healer is (in my opinion) would be the way to go. I have a Tank (assasin) in my guild and when we group up for flash points it seams to instantly pop, Tanks and Healers are so few compaired to the DPS population, this puts you guys in high demand. as far as DPS goes the Operative healer does have some decent dps, so soloing with a good companion is very doable. If at some pont you decide to go DPS Operative, respecs are free (for subs) leaving more options with this AC then the Sniper
  15. I have both an Operative and a Shadow. Mostly run as healer with my Operative but yesterday I respecced to Concealment. The damage was good but very situational. You have to pick your target and get into position to be very effective. For those that are all about hitting top numbers, this class is not for them so much. Now my Op is only a level 46 and the avg. crit is 2.5k My Shadow has a better time causing more damage the Operative my average crits are about 5k. It is easier to get into position using Force speed and the utility of the Shadow is much better than the Op. In PvP, the Taunts they have helps out the people on your team by reducing the damage the opponents can deal out to everyone except you. If you want Stealth + DPS + Utility + assisting team member then go with the Shadow/Assassin. If you decide Shadow and you do not want to DPS anymore you can switch to a Tank. Skill trees Tank : DPS : DPS If you decide Operative/Scoundrel and you do not want to DPS anymore you can switch to Healer. Skill trees Healer : DPS : DPS Some of the other classes that can top the charts in DPS their skill trees in their respective AC all DPS : DPS : DPS DPS players outnumber the Tanks and Healers. Being able to play as a tank or a healer will enable you to join more groups making it easier to build your gear up. An Operative/Scoundrel can easily switch to DPS more so than a tank, simply due to the fact that all your gear as a healer needs to have max output. This easily crosses over to DPS. A Shadow/Assassin is a little harder to switch due to the fact that a tanking gear does not produce any output numbers. (My Shadow has two sets of gear, one for DPS, and one for tanking) The decision is all up to you. If you do not like the choice, re-roll a new toon. At least get the first past chapter 2 so the legacy buff for your other toons.
  16. If you want the item for a companion or another toon, ask before you click need. More times than you can imagine people will have no problem telling you it’s cool. This goes especially for HM Flash Points most items in the HM FP can be attained from venders with commendations. Once you get into Ops (Raids) this becomes a different story most items cannot be attained with commendations, so here only need on items that you defiantly need for the current toon you are on. I have been in Ops groups were the group leader (this is very rare) set himself as the master looter. He was the only one that could loot the items. He would open the chest and link the item in the chat window so everyone could see it and people could debate on what they needed and why. if every said they didn’t need it and some asked if they could have it for their companion/alt, and no one objected then that person was allowed to need it. Once everyone concludes who gets what, then the loot system was changed. The one that chose a certain item needed it and everyone else passed. Generally, I don’t get upset or curse at someone if they need on an item that is not for their toon. I will ask them if they really needed the item that defiantly does not help their toon at all, for instance a vibro knife and he is a Shadow. I will ask them if they understand the "unwritten" rule of need over greed. If they say no, I will explain it to them. If they say yes, I will ask that they adhere to it. Mistakes happen a loot item that you need on that you mistakenly thought could be used on your toon only to realize after the fact that either you already have better or you cannot use it. If this is the case post it in the chat that you made an oops and ask if anyone needs it. Try to do this before anyone says anything to you, because they are already talking about you...trust me.

  18. My Operative (Healer) is leveling pretty fast. The guys in my guild even comment about that. I solo most all content to include Area, H2, and H4 depending on if I can do it without fighting and can stealth through it. I can handle class missions with relative ease even if the class mission is 3-4 levels higher then my current level. My xp gains on missions, heroics, space, and warzones range from 20k-30k (20k with no rested and no cartel xp boost) If I am in a group then all bonus missions are done. During the time that I am on a lot is late at night on my nights off. The number of people that are on are low. I think on Voss last night there was 14 people there.
  19. I agree with you on this. Many times I was getting beat on in a WZ and spammed surgical probe as I was running to 3 of my team mates dragging the tunnel vision Opponent to his death... I was laughing all the way, saying "this dude is persiste-oh he dead". After the first time I did it I thought to myself... "Hmmm, That’s what it feels like" LoL You do have to pay attention to what you are doing and what is going on. One of the problems I run into more than anything is LoS teammates and being focused. When the enemy realizes you are the healer ...life has just gotten harder ...for everyone.
  20. I have an lvl 41 Oprative that I am working on right now, and a lvl 25 gunslinger. I stoped playing my slinger and stayed more with the operative mainly due to the versatility the operative can bring. CC both droids and humanoids for 1 min 7 healing abilities Kolto Injection - must be stationary activates Tactical Advantage (TA) increasing healing and damage (I heal avg 1.2k and crit 3.2k) Kolto Infusion - must be stationary uses tactical advantage (I rarely use this) Diagnostic Scan - Heal Over Time (HoT) channel ability must be stationary replenishes energy on crits (I heal about 90/sec with 120 crits, crit chance currently about 50%) Kolto Probe – HoT Instant cast on the move crits add TA (I heal at about 400/sec with 900 crits) Surgical Probe – HoT Instant cast on the move, uses no energy but uses TA, when target is below 30% it will replenish the TA used to cast enabling it to me spammed Recuperative Nanotech – HoT AoE 10m radius from target, Instant cast on the move (I heal at about 400/sec with 900 crits) Toxic Scan – instant cast on the move and removes debuffs or DoT effects Can go stealth to avoid many mobs or drop agro when needed. Hidden Strike, Back Stab, And Shiv damage is great, I get anything from 700-1k damage with each Sabotage charge followed by Snipe is a one shot kill on most trash In some cases, I cast Recuperative Nanotech and Kolto Probe on the Tank and then enjoy doing DPS from range or if I want to get some blood on my hands I run to the tank drop Recuperative Nanotech then Backstab, Shiv, Debilitate, Corrosive Dart And Overload Shot as I move back. (fun tactics) I actually enjoy being a healer as an Operative than any other MMO I played. The healing numbers and damage amount is current in The Factory and Colicoid War Games. The operative has a lot in his/her arsenal to choose from. The Sniper/Slinger is a pure DPS AC with DPS-DPS-DPS skill trees The Operative/Scoundrel is a mixture AC and allows more options Heal-Melee DPS-Range DPS (makes it easier to fill more than one role when needed) Everything I have stated above is my experience and opinion “Opinions are like A-____s, everyone has one” The B.L.U.F. (Bottom Line Up Front), it's all your choice on what it is you want to do and what directions you wish to have available to you. And if you’re not happy with your choice…it’s a game…re-roll.
  21. I don't think thats what was mea- wait ... was that sarcasm?
  22. I all so agree, this would be easier and plausible then creating a completely new class. Each Class has two non-shared ACs and one shared AC, adding another shared AC in the mix sounds decent.
  23. This actually brought back a memory from SWG (yeah I said SWG) I was a Master Rifles/Master Squad Leader. I would go under cover (Stealth) and with 80m range, I would paint targets and snipe people. In fact a guildie of mine and I would go to the mining outpost. I would go under cover outside the MoP while he tagged himself as PvP with the AFK sign above his head. An Imp "ganker" would come in to try to seize the moment only to get his behind kicked FAST. He would seemingly kill 3-4 imps with remarkable ease. That is until my cover was blown. They would claim that he was a hacker. Until I /w them and said "You think he is doing that alone...LOL” Yeah I blew my own cover. Got a lot of laughs from both sides. Good Times Oh yeah he was a Jedi (Powers)
  24. Sarcasm? Caused me to crack a smile.
