Was there an attempt to make this game for Xbox360 / PS3?

It feels like a console game with PC controls.

Low resolution textures, no objects to interact (physics), no dynamic light, no proper shadows, fps problems on 2012 PCs like they failed to port a console game properly, no AA and DX9?

I must be right or Bioware has no sense how good games look and feel.

Can't be they made all that content on the basis of a broken engine.

It must be a bad console port...

Um, no.

There are a lot of people saying that this -should- have been a console game, however, it was never envisioned to be one.

Why do you feel it was made for a console? Because it does not have the same graphic performance of Skyrim or Battlefield 3? That is silly. This was 100% intended to be an MMORPG, and the graphics were designed to fit the trailers released for the game, as well as the animated Clone Wars series which has predominately been the example of Star Wars in the past couple years. Personally, I love the graphics; they work well with the setting and story. An MMORPG does not need mind blowing graphics to be successful, let alone playable, take WoW for example - the graphics look like they were made for a children's cartoon. Now look at Age of Conan - wonderful graphics for being released in 2008, and the game was a flop.

If Bioware had intended for this to be a console game they probably would have named it KOTOR 3 or something similar, not something as broad as The Old Republic, which gives them the opportunity to delve into all facets of this era of the Star Wars timeline.

The game mechanics are all wrong for a console game as well. If it had been designed for a console the combat system would have more than likely stayed true to the turn based system of the KOTOR duo.

Although I don't like SWTOR, I have to admit that Bioware does know how good games look and feel....at least singleplayer games, without EA being involved.
