This would be amazing. I just think it would be way more customization-friendly and truly broaden the appearances already in the game. Surprised it has not already been done, even with some simple textures.

Can we please have textured dyes? There are some really cool armor pieces that would look amazing with a metallic texture, but instead feel very plasticky with the current dyes out there. And vice versa: there are some armors that are too shiny for me but would look really cool with a more matte finish. Probably a little nitpicky, but I just think it would add a different dynamic to the gear out there. =]
