  1. Regardless of when I waited to do it, if the event details page said I had time to do it when I wanted to, how is that on me? Of course, I didn't actually wait until the last second, I waited until 10 hours before the stated end time of the event... Also, I never said anything about leveling... the only reason I'm annoyed by Bioware's screw-up is that I hadn't finished the weekly quests for CXP on my characters yet. Is it the end of the world? Will I ragequit or something stupid like that? No, of course not... there will be more XP events, etc. That said, it IS Bioware's screw-up, and I'm voicing my annoyance... on top of that the fact that a couple of people (including you) can't seem to admit Bioware's failure is mindboggling. Also kinda amusing.
  2. Oh look, I can do this too! They said 4PM PST/12 AM GMT, which as written means 4PM PST the 16th/12AM GMT the 17th. Here's a link to help YOU out: https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/pst-to-gmt-converter?qm=1&lid=8,0,5097598&h=8&date=2017-11-16&sln=16-16.5 I don't think you understand logic or fact, as proven by the fact that you can't seem to understand how this is Bioware's screw-up and their fault.
  3. So? How is that my fault? No, 4pm on the 16th is 4pm on the 16th, not somehow magically 4pm on the 15th... how did you manage to come up with this?! Your response basically reads: "Oh, the website is sometimes wrong (but I'm not gonna blame Bioware for that), so you have to go by the in game bar, because that's not wrong (except for last time which doesn't count for a reason that I'll make up) otherwise it's your fault for believing what they stated." I'm not sure if you work in PR or something, but your responses to this thread are ridiculous.
  4. LOL Yes, reading the actual text of the event and it being wrong is all on me... you serious? Especially since the hover over countdown on the bar was wrong for the last event!
  5. http://www.swtor.com/info/in-game-events says: Kind of annoyed because the only reason I didn't finish my characters yesterday was because it said 4pm PST. Also, if it's a typo they had to typo twice as the GMT timezone matches. Did the buff timer get screwed up again?
  6. Nerfing the XP because of someone who played 15 hours per day for multiple days grinding them only PUNISHES the 99% of us who don't play that much and/or find grinding mobs fun/worthwile. Thanks Bioware, you may have finally gotten me to stop paying you.

  8. 1.) I already run the game in windowed (full screen) mode, was still crashing. 2.) I did try to update my nvidia drivers, which seems to have fixed the issue. I wouldn't really have thought it was this since the problem appeared randomly WITHOUT an nvidia update... 3.) Unfortuantely windows 10 loves to freaking update stuff on its own. incredibly annoying.
  9. I've been incredibly busy since KotFE launched (and I still will be for a couple of weeks) so I haven't really been able to play much... and this companion change is just incredibly depressing, killing any desire I had to log in. I just spent 16 hours at work, or I'd go into more details... but I figured I'd at least say something to express my disappointment.
  10. I didn't really want to necro this thread, but... well, 2 weeks isn't that long ago. I found most of your post to be absurd, basically a "it will negatively affect me so no one should have it" argument against 12xp... but I had to clarify the quote above, in case anyone took you seriously. Firstly, the boost is to level 90, not 60. If you're at 60 when you use the boost, it maxes your professions as well. You got one "free" boost per expansion per account. More importantly though, you can buy an unlimited number of boosts for $60 a pop... not just one. So you're comment to Bioware about "being careful" because even WoW didn't allow unlimited boosts... you are very wrong.
  11. Yes, you did. And most of those arguing that it should be a high legacy level unlock are quite frankly, out of their minds. I have 7 55s. Seven. Guess what legacy level I am? 45. I don't raid, I don't do dailys, etc... so the majority of the experience that would go to legacy levels I don't get. There is no way a system designed to be friendly to alts should require anywhere NEAR 7x 55s. Realistically, the perk should be available via toggle to subscribers once that subscriber has a single max level character. The rest of the crazy requirements people are coming up with is simple elitism
  12. I don't find OP's post to be unnecessary doom-saying. At this point in the game (pun, har har) you don't really have verified information on whats coming until it actually is implemented and playable in game... And the silence on the timeline for what is supposedly going to be added is continuing to actively harm the game itself.
  13. I have: 50 45 22 29 25 16 26 And am legacy level 31. Character levels don't necessarily reflect legacy levels...
  14. As a pyrotech merc, I wish my class was at least half as powerful as Jager's.... /cry
  15. Just FYI... I created a 24gb ramdisk and ran the game from there for a long time... the game grew past 24gb and while I could have increased the size, I give up... because even though the ramdrive benched 3 times faster than my raided ssds, the game load times were still... bad. The ramdrive loading speed wasn't enough of an increase to bother with continuing to use it. for the curious ramdisk: http://i.imgur.com/778ba.png ssd raid: http://i.imgur.com/Q3Bnm.png (you can ignore the middle and left benchmarks, theyre mechanical drives i did for the hell of it)
  16. Ahahahaha.... Let me just point out that finding the forum to post on after something bad has happened is pretty standard behavior. It in no way implies previous visits to the forum. How often do you call customer service of <X> company just to chat? Probably never. But if your product from company <X> breaks down, or has issues, or something that you feel is their fault with the product... yep. You will be calling them. It's sad when people can't realize that others don't behave exactly as they themselves would...
  17. My Sith Warrior laughs at the OP. And I really wanted Dark Jaesa too Theres a ton of choices that change the outcome. Of course, unless youve done the same quest twice and chosen different options... I don't see how you would know. I have.
  18. My Jedi is dark, specifically because light side "peace only" side is annoying. Light Jedi = doing it wrong... I think based on the current in game jedi code, luke skywalker would be considered dark side.
  19. So... I watched until the part where he complained about Huttball and the knockbacks, and the stuns.... And stopped. Why? This guy wants WoW in space. I've played a ton of huttball (imp here, valor rank 59) and yeah, knockbacks are a huge part of playing huttball... and to a lesser extent voidstar, civil war. But seriously, complaining because they aren't unique? Complaining because people use them to knock the ball carrier off? Its a new game, and those things aren't that hard to adapt to. Maybe this guy should just do the space missions... on rails, with no one that could ever do anything to annoy him. Truthfully, maybe he just started with a bad example of why he doesn't like the game, because there are certainly bugs and horrible designed/implemented features. Unfortunately, given that he started with the knockbacks, I can't take him seriously enough to continue to watch the video.
  20. I don't like 3. It seems... very limiting. I'm actually against anything that hides the different types of relationships based on a toggle or preference setting.
  21. I actually second this, to some extent... although it would probably take a lot of work on Bioware's part. Everyone knows Blizz was just made to be romancable. Or to poke fun at Blizzard. You could even have hints in previous stages of each conversation that would "clue" your character into knowing if the npc was receptive... and if not receptive, and you chose to flirt anyways further into the conversation, you could get a smack or some other clear rebuff.
  22. Given that Landara's posts (and response to said posts) have been removed, I can say what I originally came to say which was... They should definitely add this feature in soon. Maybe the infamous "March" update? My first character was a female BH, and I did the full companion story with Mako... and somehow pushed her and Torian "together." Not what I wanted But since then, I've stopped doing companion quests except on my 1 male alt, since I'm kind of in limbo waiting for Bioware to announce whats going to happen and when. The only definitive thing from Bioware on this subject that I can remember is that it would be added post launch...
  23. Lol @ thinking merc's are OP. ars mercs are so easy to lock down its not funny. as a bonus, its currently bugged so interrupting tracer basically blocks unload as well. i'd suggest those who think tracer is OP go play a merc, but I realize people who get easily destroyed by them are just bad players who won't actually care about reality, just about not getting killed.
