  1. Future? This game has none.

     

    My entire guild has quit playing because they finally realized that this is a sub-par game, developed by kids who don't know what a MMO is.

     

    I'm so disappointed by Bioware that I will NEVER buy another game from them again, this is pathetic.

  2. First I'd like to say that the forums are overrun with angry end content rushing pvp gankers who don't feel all powerful so they complain until they are.

     

    Stopped reading there.

     

    It's a sub-par MMO, everyone I play with agrees, but we still play with the hopes that it will get better; but we won't for too much longer.

    The Consular story is actually one of learning. If you don't in particular like history / lore, you won't like the Consular storyline.

     

    I hear a lot of people bashing it, but I actually enjoy it. You learn A LOT of history behind all that has happened up until this point in time. Yes I agree, they did give out a major story spoiler early on (before you even leave Tyhon), but just the amount of history and lore alone is worth it - at least IMO.

     

    I've also done parts of the SI and Smuggler stories, and those seem to be very interesting... Although with the SI story, if he called me slave one more time....... I didn't like him from the start anyways

     

    See? The SI story actually made you feel a certain way about one of its characters, from the very start, whereas the Consular story.....doesn't.

     

    You're right about learning a lot of history and such, and that's fine, and I'm glad you enjoyed it, but there is still some very basic story-telling techniques that are missed. The content of a story is only a fraction of a story, how you tell that story is just as important.

  4. i think it'd be amazing if a bioware rep could respond, or a writer for the consular story

     

    did they have something more in mind, but had to rush the game out? or did the senior writers REALLY feel this is how a jedi consular should play out?

     

    I was honestly in shock at how poorly written the whole thing was, I really really was. And lest we forget, this is a Bioware game! Oh, and you know the whole selling point of this game, story, yeah....nice shot in the foot there.

    My system runs at 31-35 degrees. If your system has issues and the majority don't then it's you, not the game

     

    Well known issue; this game is poorly optimized and on a dated engine.

     

    While the OPs case is extreme, even those with beastly rigs notice a substantial hit from this game when compared to any other bench-mark game out there.

     

    Nuked PCs aside, this was a very poorly designed game.

  6. The Consular story... what's the scale we are using? 1-10? 1-100? Oh nevermind, I was going to give it a 1 anyways.

     

    Consular story is truly a poorly written story.

     

    The entire thing relies on characterization, a very basic story technique, but achieves none of it. It just tells us we should care instead of actually making us care; I'd be so embarrassed if I was the one who wrote that (I'd also consider going back to school, because it clearly didn't work the first time).

  7. negative feedback? thanks for your concern but.. I just watched a video stating they want our positive feedback which if you read this. it is. :cool:

     

    No no, you misunderstand me. If it isn't praising the game or telling heart-warming stories by the camp fire, while singing kumbaya, then it's basically considered "negative feedback" and therefor herded into single threads.

     

    I don't think you posted negative feedback, but I'm also not a mod on here (thank Yoda).
