  1. Have to agree with the original poster. I don't think I am the best in my class or play the game perfectly but I am a relatively well geared 68 valor mara which most people will say is an OP class - I win 95% of 1vs1 fights and finish top on damage most games. I can say the fight I fear the most is a well gearded Sith Assassin Tank. Most of this class don't know the correct setup or have the correct gear but when they do they are near impossible to kill. When I face these type of players I am lucky to get them down to less than 75% damage. See this video http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=4670678. Thats me geting owned 1vs1, I do a lot of things bad but the fight is so unbalanced its a joke. I have ran into a handful of people who have the correct setup on this class and the right gear, so don't listen to those people who say 'they are easy to kill' I have seen other classes fully geared but nothing stands up to this class. See another thread here discuss another experience with a Sith Assasin Tank, http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=483528 A good assasin tank will hit you for for 3.5k+ easily, but they will turn your 3k hit into 10% that (at most). They have defensive buffs, stealth, self heals and can hit for a LOT of damage.
  2. Great tips so far, thanks guys have learnt a lot. Hope you don't mind me spamming combat log's, hoping to understand this as a I read them. The ability tool tips don't really explain what they are doing. Another Sith Assasin experience, I won this one but mainly because of a healer . Does Slow Time make a big difference to damage dealt? 3. Thanks. So deflection increases melee and ranged defense by 50% for 12 seconds. How does a 50% defense increase equate to Annihilate doing 162 damage? It just doesn't add up to me, its 5% dmg that it normally does. Without deflection are you saying I should be able to take them down easily? Is it worth just force choke, intimidating roar and then force cloak at the start of the fight if they use this?
  4. Thanks for the advice. I did all of the above . Adrenal was on CD. Used obfuscate early. Two Annihilate attacks did 324 dmg, thats 162 for each annihilate. And it normally hits 2-3k each at least. So hes mitigated 90-95% of my most powerful attack damage? Force choke very rarely works in PvP (just ticks but they aren't stopped) however it did this time and he unleashed. Later in the fight I put more dots on force camo then out of force camo intimidating roar to buy me some more time but nothing worked. I am not convinced Obfuscate or the defensive abilities make any difference vs them, i had saber ward up at the start when he did most of his big hitting.
  5. Hi, I am a relatively well geared Anni Mara with full BM and 4 WH items, I do well in most 1vs1 scenarios but I keep getting beaten badley by well geared Sith Assassin's. I would like to know if anyone has any tips that can help. See combat log, which is a pretty good indication of my last few fights against decent Sith Assasins http://www.anjesoftware.com/?player=allPlayers&display=damageDone&file=6808&ability=all&encounter=210662 I start the fight leaping in, deadly saber, rupture, (beserk) Battering Assault, Annihilate, obfuscate, disrupt etc.. repeat cycle through in a force choke and intimidating roar, use defensive buffs etc... and this works in most 1vs1 but not against sith assasins in which i cant seem to get them below 75% health! Looking at the combat logs, 2 attacks with Annihilate did 324 damage (what!?) i usually hit 3k each on that. Ravage x4 = 1484. Only my bleeds seemed to have any affect. Obfuscate makes no difference in reducing there attack power, saber ward and cloak of pain do very little if anything to negate there damage. Any advice is appreciated
  6. Matrix cube gone too, I had the lvl 50 Strength one from GGG combination (dont remember the name).
  7. I love force leap but I have had this problem a lot too, I think the game loses track of where you are and there is a difference between your server location and your client location. So you end up running into invisible walls and when you try an attack a target which is right next to you they are too far away. The solution for me is to cycle through targets nearby and try to force leap to them - another force leap seems to fix the issue. However what is more annoying for me recently is when you are chasing a Sorcerer or some other class which is force sprinting, you force leap to catch up on them and by the time you land you are already 20m too far behind them still! I don't know if its lag or if the force leap animation takes too long to land but by the time you have landed where they were you are already too far away.
  8. I know this is probably tied to the same issues as combat having to wait for the animation to finish but It really annoys me having to wait for the buff animation to finish before I can use my stim. What normally happens is I die in a WZ, re-buff and hit the stim straight after but the stim doesnt work as I have to wait for the buff animation to finish. Neither are on timers, so why do I have to wait? Any one else find this REALLY annoying or is it just me
  9. Not this no, it is in the centre of the map.
  10. Is this a known bug that's being fixed then?
  11. Hi, I saw an exploit today that a player would repeat. The exploit means you cannot target or attack the player that uses it. I wont give the exact details but you have to stand in a specific location in Huttball. The player I saw using this was a lvl 50 bounty hunter called Tigraz on Starstorm server, he knows it was wrong because when our team complained in General chat he replied 'I don't care the game is lame anyway'. There might be a thread on this already, is this a known bug? Is the community aware of this?
