  1. In the very beginning when the game was first released fishing made one a lot for those times. It was greatly nerfed to what it is today which pretty much gives you nothing.
  2. Got my slicing from about 375 to 400 yesterday after the nerf. I did almost all rich missions. I crit 3 times the entire day and got 5k for each one. Other than that I would say I was lucky to break even. I prolly made 10k for the day due to the crits. Did slicing need a nerf? Yes. But not near what they did to it. As a level 30 before the nerf I made a total of around 400k but that included never buying anything on the GTN, just selling. Now I will never buy anything for sure from others at least while I am leveling. To make the excess amount we were making was way too much. I think a nerf of half of what they actually did would be more reasonable. The augments we get from the missions don't sell for squat but you do on the rare occasion get a mission discovery or schematic that may pay for you're mission. A money making profession is put in to do just that, make money, not lose it. Of course we could argue if that is even the point of the profession. Unless Bioware makes a statement on the purpose of it we can argue all day long on this. The fact is it was a bit much of a nerf.
  3. Depends on you're play type. PvP? PVE? RP? Do you like long server queues? Some servers are notorious for this but it's not near as bad as it was. Its also too early to tell what the ratio is of Empire/Republic will be on any given server. My server is Tarro Blood which shows it being full most of the time but with virtually no queues. I have found that the Empire player base is actually quite friendly and so far have not come across any jerks or really immature people. Again, I can only speak for my server and my experience so far. Wish you the best of server rolls. EDIT: Tarro Blood is PVE.
  4. In my playing on the Tarro Blood server empire side.. SI > SW > BH > IA
  5. The direction Blizzard has taken WoW is the exact reason I hope Bioware doesn't go down the same path where this bar is you are talking about.
  6. I actually enjoy where the game is at on this issue minus a couple issues with some taxi terminals not connected. It brings back the sense and wonder that is now missing in other MMO's that have basically handed you ports, hearths, etc. When you start off in a new world as say a Bounty Hunter you pretty much have nothing. You have to earn your credits and way of living. This includes means of travel down the road and hoofing it on foot and taking the game in. Then again gamers now days are not the "I walked 5 miles in the snow, blah blah generation.
  7. I've never hit a queue. I stay logged in after work. If I walk away I make sure to pass by my office and hit spacebar every now and then. I do know while playing my server (Tarro Blood) has about 45min queues. I have yet to disconnect as well.
  8. i5 2500k 8bg 1600 GTX 560ti 0 issues with lag on max settings. Based on multiple threads on video cards, it seems the 560ti's are fantastic for this game. I've seen a lot of issues with the 400 series. I'm running around 70-111fps on average. 1920x1080 res.

  10. Overall I agree as well. For this game to be where it's at this early on is amazing and has a boatload of potential. Yeah there are a lot things that could be done to improve it but you cant ask for much more right now. Some folks keep comparing this to well seasoned games which makes it seem like this game is lacking. Give it time, the room for growth is there which will catapult this game even higher.
  11. You're fps will show up in the bottom left corner, very small.
  12. i5 2500k 8gb 1600 GTX 560ti 70-111fps silky smooth and have yet to disconnect with about 65-70hrs played between beta/EA.
  13. I'll be honest, I got home yesterday from work at 4:30pm and logged in no problem. I didn't log off at all until I went to bed around 12:30am. I made dinner, ran to the store, ate dinner, hung out with the wife, etc. I just made sure to hit spacebar every now and then when passing by the comp. I did not want to get stuck with the 45min queues our server was experiencing. ... And I'm gonna do it again tonight.
  14. Sept 26th here. Wife going out of town Friday
