  1. Buy a hilt from the GTN. Stick it in a saber shell. Remove it. RE it. Congrats. This is stupidly expensive, though, since IIRC it's a 20% chance for the schematic you could be spending over 5mil on reing hilts, depending on the hilt.
  2. You're getting "gang stunned." If you're fighting a whole bunch of people who are all focusing you, you should probably die unless you have a pocket healer or something. Marauders get focused like this because left to their own devices they will rip apart three people in light armor before dying themselves.
  3. You should probably be more concerned considering most good PvPers will not be taking Sorcs in their premades. The nerf isn't nearly as relevant for PvE.
  4. Interesting then that Sorcs do have a spec that's meant to be a bursty turret, but is almost completely useless in PvP.
  5. Subscription expires in 10 days. If the Sorcerer nerfs are as bad as I think they are, I won't be resubbing after it expires. I enjoy playing DPS in PvP as light armor/caster classes and apparently this won't be possible in ranked matches due to the fact that sorcerers, at least from the patch notes, seem to be largely inferior to other DPS classes with this new patch. No defensive CDs besides bubble, light armor, broken lightning spec, easily cleansed DoT spec. (Everyone agrees PvP is generally about burst damage. Sorcerers have the WORST burst of any class in pvp with the nerf.) *Shrug*
  6. 12 right now. Might hit 50 a bit after the patch.
  7. The lightning spec is mediocre and generally bad in PvP due to poor mobility The Madness spec is better, but DPS is completely shutdown by a single cleanse and it has a huge buildup time(4 gcds) to actually start doing significant damage. The AoE damage that wrath+CL was putting out might have been a bit too much, but considering the viability of the two "pure" specs, they could have thrown us a bone. Compared to Marauders, Assassins, and Powertechs, Sorcerors are not something that is horrible to go up against in PvP.
  8. The hell? Marauders are already amazing in PvP, why are they getting any buffs at all?
  9. Mercenary healers with their uninterruptable shield and heavy armor say hello.
  10. Yes, because it's not like you can buy anything with those 58*7 champion commendations. And that stack of centurion commendations. Naaaaaah.
  11. Healer specs are a different story. Well placed interrupts make quick work of them though, considering their best heal has a cast time. A healer spec with their salt will kite around corners constantly however. Mercs will just eat all of your damage with their no-interrupt shield and heal all of it.
  12. Oh, I don't think there's anything wrong with the 1.2 gear changes. It's fine. More variety, new tier set for rated warzones. Works good for me. I also find it amusing that you think putting words in my mouth equates victory in a conversation. MMO PvP is different, it's certainly not a joke. Do I like the fact that people who are "hardcore" will stay away from it? Sure! Having a 300$ mouse with 40 macro keys is an advantage besides skill. In Call of Duty, do you get new guns as you level up? In LoL do you get new points to put in your tree and more IP for your run page the longer you play? The number of respectable PvP games with NO difference besides skill is fairly low. Even FPS games generally have several guns that are imbalanced and simply considered "better."
  13. I don't understand why they don't randomly move some random person over to the other team as people quit to keep it even.
  14. So, instead of addressing the entirety of my post, you deal with a single point that I already addressed (that I am not an elitist). Never said I was a "real" or "hardcore" PvPer either. Also...what? People should PvE to get PvE gear that makes them competitive in PvP so they can get better PvP gear was what I said. I know this is shocking, but there are actually multiple parts to an MMO. You know...PvE? That thing you(most likely) did for the past 50 levels? It's hard, I know, but there are actually more than three maps in this game? Wow! And hell, if gear differences keep claw gripers and people with 300$ keyboards and mice away from TOR, all the better. The RNG is also mostly gone from the gearup with the additions of a significant amount of commendations in every bag. MMO's have a fundamentally different setup than other games. Especially other PvP games. The day that MMO pvp is the same as LoL PvP or CS PvP is the day I stop PvPing in that game.
  15. It is difficult, yes. I can't find the image right now, but I'll tell you if I manage to locate it. Sorc is the mirror class of Sage, by the way, so the terms are sort of interchangeable.
  16. He said it was a month ago. Reading comprehension is your friend! Read books! I've seen someone on the forums get over 1mil healing before, but 930k is still pretty damn good.
  17. I do think they need to fix the fact that the armor debuff stacks from multiple TMs/GRs. I.E. three stacks of five debuffs...
  18. Meant 0/13/28 in my last post, whoops. And again, you're losing out on both dot damage and deathfield damage with that spec. I concede the point of consumption though, hadn't considered using the reusable medpacs like that.
  19. 4 of any class on a single target will kill it. How is that even relevant? Operatives are mediocre in PvP. On this point there is a consensus. DPS spec'd Jugs, and even tank spec too a point, are either excellent(dps) or passable(tank) in PvP. I also never said that sorcs were "awful." Operatives have a vanish and an evade to use in combat and medium armor, Juggernauts and Marauders have other defensive cooldowns. In burst damage situations, like this obviously was and most warzones are likely to be at the ranked level, they simple last much longer than the tissue paper that is a sorc. Is it likely to be as extreme in an actual warzone? No, because Sorcs have abilities they can use to kite people on various terrain with knockbacks and such, but I'd imagine it'll still be a problem. By the way, a period is the commonly accepted punctuation for ending a sentence.
  20. Oh, hey, look. A critical, sarcastic, and biting analysis of my post, insisting that I am an elitist, anyone not valor 1000 should be curbstomped because they aren't people, and that I am a *****. It also insists that I am a no lifer, despite the fact that it took me over a month to ding 50 on my first character, and I only do my PvP dailies every day. Bravo, sir. (And I raid on raid night, but I'm way too elitist to admit that I do anything except PvP.) You would not go into an operation, normal or otherwise, with the gear you were wearing when you just dinged 50. Unless it was very, very good, in which case, congratulations! PvP matches are the same. Gear is part of MMOs. Some people don't want that, in which case, hey, go play Guild Wars 2 if you want completely even PvP(Nothing against it, it looks good, honest!). Or counterstrike for all I care, honestly. Even games like LoL have differences in players between what level they are and how many awful games they played grinding IP for runes. Like I said, you can take WHOEVER YOU WANT into rated warzones. If their gear isn't good, don't take them. If their role doesn't fit with what you need, don't take them. Your premade in a ranked warzone is as competitive as you want it to be. I also firmly believe that rated warzones are going to suck no matter what is done about gear. If you want to talk about elitism, talk to a guild that re-rolls an entire team of FOTM classes every time a new patch comes out. Did I mention that I enjoy the climb up the ladder? That you feel weak and get stronger over time? I think I did, but apparently you completely passed over that point of my post to separate an entire argument into points that you would not have anything to say to in the case that you actually took them as a single point, which they are. I also never said ANYTHING was wrong with new PvPers, but you should not, period, come into an endgame warzone with 9-10k HP. It is very, very easy to get good mods to slot into oranges from daily quests, and the cent/champ gearup at this point is fairly short and rather consistent.
  21. Force in the hybrid build is managed by casting chain lightning less even though you have a wrath proc, which decreases your overall DPS, making the DPS boost in PVE marginal, if it exists at all. I assume we're talking about 0/13/25 here, considering any more points than that in the lightning tree is not giving you a significant DPS increase for raids. Biochem wouldn't help force regen...? Not sure why you even brought that up, considering that would boost the damage of both specs.
  22. While shield generators are generally mediocre in PvP, those metrics do not account for the fact that Sorcerors have no damage mitigation cooldowns besides their bubble. Marauders have...what...4 or 5?
  23. How can you just state things that are wrong like they're facts? Please stop.
