  1. I'm glad someone has brought this up finally. There is a very slim selection for us to choose from, but it clipping issues could be resolved, that would be great. Take Star Wars Galaxies for example, they managed to get their helmets to fit twi'leks, and even made special modifications to some pieces, making folds where the lekku come out.
  2. Definitely my least favorite planet, so far anyway. No Jedi to kill. A bunch of tedious, boring tasks & missions. I got a good lightsaber & title off the Bonus Series, but yea, space Afghanistan sucks bad for the most part.

I'm also starting to tire of Alderaan.....

Actually there is a heroic with some Jedi, and a neat quest where you find some Ancient Rakate device. :p

Jedi Knight also lets you fight a Sith, who I think becomes your companion later.

  3. Exactly how can a patch bring more players?

The average guy walking past in the shop sees the box... He doesnt know about 1.2

    Neither do online shoppers....

People who cancelled have moved on....

So how many people do you really think a patch will bring?

You'd be surprised. SWG (Rest in peace) lost a large playerbase over the years, and threw up some patches with new content and all of a sudden people started coming back (Including myself). People tend to check back and see if any updates have been made while they were out for such a long time. Even if the patch comes out like garbage (as this one looks like it will be)

Something about terrible games also seem to lure players in. SWTOR might get some love soon.

  4. Use WoW's Alterac Valley as an example for a new BG. Large map, multiple objectives, and a little bit of PVE in it at the end where you kill a boss.

And leave classes alone until you hire an expert who knows what they're doing.

  5. I've been away from the game for the past two months, and a major reason for that is I want to play group content.

My experience thus far has seen trouble finding like minded individuals that enjoy PvE content. More and more, I find I am being asked to PvP rather than do flashpoints or any of the other group content. PvP is not the game I want to play, and since there is A: no LFG channel to avoid being drowned out by spammers in general, and B: there is no fallback plan like PvE queuing, I'm stuck. I am totally bored with soloing. Every time I get a flashpoint mission, I get discouraged because when I do manage to get into a flashpoint either some noob needs on gear he doesn't need or the party falls apart because someone's internet connection fails, and we have to wait around for nearly half an hour to find a replacement.

No more. I promised myself I would not do group content until BioWare fixes this problem with a creative way to search for party globally or introduces a party queue for flashpoints. Since then, I have played less and less until finally, I stopped playing altogether. It's sad--one of my all time favorite games is not being played because every time I look at the start up icon I remember the pains it takes to create and maintain a functioning party for the things I enjoy most.

The bottom line is we need to have choices. This isn't a bid for instant gratificationists. This is a bid for people who work, have school, or other priorities than games; moreover, this is a bid for people who know that time is precious to them. Four hours looking for a group that ultimately never sees its mission through is a massive waste of time. The human factor of this is we get discouraged. Bioware says that they will lose players if they instate a cross-server dungeon finder. I say they are losing a bigger bulk of their player base by forcing us to fit in with the croud.

Social politics is not what I signed up for. I am not a very social person when I am in game. I have good reasons. I am a mature and functioning adult who values his time spent wherever he is. When I am playing games, I do not like the experience to stop because someone feels I should be chatty Cathy, make friends, and use them to work at group content. I am sorry if this offends you, but I do not play games to cultivate social relationships--if I wanted to do that, I would log off, shut my PC down, and call up one of my real-life friends. This game is just something to pass the offhours between school and work. It's nothing more and nothing less. Anything else isn't fun for me.

These are some last words for those who don't understand. Choice is all we are asking for; we are asking for the choice to do what we find fun in the way we like to acheive it. No one is forcing you to use a queue to find a party, but we are asking for the choice. This choice in no way conflicts with the interests or design concepts BioWare has in mind. This does not change the game in any way other than the method to accomplish simple tasks. Instance queues streamline the way players find party members. Cross-sever or not, this method is an invaluable tool for those of us wishing to make the most of our time.

    Welcome to MMO's.

  6. I am having this issue too. I never switched to Bowdaar before entering the ship, so that wouldn't be the problem :| Risha is also stuck with a quest symbol above her head but doesn't go into a cinematic phase. I sent in a ticket myself, I'll let you know what they say if they fix me up first.
  7. If ya'll want SWG's space combat, go play the EMU. I personally like the battle atmosphere put into the space battles of SWTOR even if a few are recycled old missions. If this was a swg style space combat, you'd have garbage pilots whining and having bad parts. Now it's just pilots with bad parts (and a few who still manage to suck.) The problem with SWG's system was there were good pilots who had a hard time getting good parts. On here, they're not too hard to come by, and the low grade store bought parts actually do the job to the minimal.
  8. Eventually there will be so many credits in the economy that new players won't even be able to afford crafted armor.

I spend roughly 20k a day on repairs. I earn roughly 250k a day from dailys.

    230k * 30 days = ~7m a month

This is not including any PvP, PvE, or GTM profits.

There are currently no gold dumps other than repairs at 50, so that gold just begins to sit in my inventory.

After 6 months unless something changes I will have roughly 48mil credits. Most other players will have similar amounts leading to inflation of "leveling gear" for alts to cost hundreds of thousands to millions each putting them out of range for most new players to afford.

Basically this game needs to overhaul professions so there is something to spend your credits on late game.

I'd suggest them adding in more for crew skills and harder to get resources. That will tempt people to buy them and use some of that money.

  9. Screw level brackets, do Valor Rank brackets. Might not weed out all the baddies, but at Valor 20, most folks should know the ropes. Just a thought. Then adding the debuff wouldn't be absurd.
  10. You're right the immunity module is an absolute must for this mission. If you don't have it don't bother.

BTW: First time I actually survived Sullust I missed the mission by just 1 fighter, I felt so defeated.

Rofl! That happened to me too. I didn't know whether to be mad or be ashamed of myself.

Edit: I chose to be ashamed of myself.
