  1. When you are raiding, your berserk will not be up nearly as much as you want it to be - because of other buffs that will be required that cost you the 30 fury and at a moments notice. Sure, you can use another cooldown to get that 30 immediately, but the fact is you might not have berserk up as often as you want. With that said however, when berserk is up you are healing your entire group (as opposed to just yourself) with your bleeds, so the more often it is up teh better
  2. Yes bleed damage exists - as far as I can tell, offhand counts as a hit for some marauders, increasing the bleed stacks, but for purposes of direct increases.... The stats on the offhand weapon will increase bleed damage, because that is what stats do.
  3. I was noticing more misses on everything than I expected today - I missed a ton on offhand attacks during abilities that used it, and I even missed an annihilate (?!?!?!) This said, I am thinking that accuracy to at least 110% on specials is required, as you pointed out. Other than that, I still think the stat weights should be as I pointed out. Also, the 95.75% is for Basic Attacks - specials are at 105.75%
  4. I am stacking crit and surge, but STR above all else. Strength gives you damage and crit, and I believe would have a higher weight than crit alone. That said, my weighting at the moment is Str > Crit > Surge > Power > Accuracy Why is accuracy last? I have 95.75% accuracy with only three acc. items - my implants and earpiece. Even with 0 accuracy, you have 100% accuracy with all special attacks (read: just about anything that uses rage), so any accuracy is a bonus. Also, your second saber is not used for attacks (as far as I have read) and is only really a stat stick. Even if this is not the case, your accuracy with talents starts at 57% so accuracy being pushed prior to any other stat seems folly. One other thing to note is that bonus damage is applied to the MAIN WEAPON ONLY. This also seems to point to the secondary lightsaber being a stat stick. In either case, put your strongest lightsaber in your main hand, and in your offhand have your weaker weapon. Note: it has come to my attention during the writing of this post that 105% accuracy is where diminishing returns begins. I have over 105% on my special attacks, but only 95.75% on my basic attacks. This begs the question, what ARE my basic attacks? If it is what I think it is, the only one is Assault, and that will be used < 20% of the time during an extended fight because of other rage generating skills, abilities and talents, thereby negating the need for "basic attack" accuracy of 105% =================================================== Anyway, here are the stat conversions I have come up with so far for the Marauder: Base: Accuracy: 90%/57% Basic attacks | 100%/67% Special attacks (+3% bonus from talents) Crit Chance: 5% Crit Multiplier: 50% 0.2 damage per point of strength | 5 strength per 1 bonus damage (235.8 @ 1179 strength) 0.00696 crit rating per point of strength | 144 strength per 1% crit (8.21% @ 1179 strength) 0.031 crit rating per point of crit | 33 crit per 1% crit rating (16.58% @ 534 crit) 0.1348 crit multiplier per point of surge | 8 surge per 1% crit multiplier (29.11% @ 216 surge) 0.2286 damage per point of power | 5 power per 1 bonus damage (1.6 bonus damage at 7 power) 0.035 accracy rating per point of accuracy | 29 Accuracy rating per 1% accuracy rating (2.75% @ 78 accuracy) Please note that the numbers are rounded up to hit the percentages - for example, Power is closer to a 4:1 ratio, but to get a single point requires 5 power in general (4.375 : 1)
  5. Systems Administrator for over 15 years They have said themselves there will be queues and wait times on launch day. Having a fit? No. Speaking out because of things that are done wrong (in my opinion of course) yes. Such is the right of paying customers. By the way, protesting and making your voice heard DOES change how things are done, or do you live on some other planet?
  6. Freedom, love it. Deal or leave, whiner.
  7. You are refusing to utilize logic, and instead are again trying to spin the issue. Let me be blunt and clear, in a way that even one as slow as you should be able to understand... Take my post, and apply it WITHIN THE CONTEXT OF THE EARLY ACCESS As for the specific "if they let the 999999 in it wouldnt be early access would it?" question - it would be - because we all got tickets (all 999999 of us) to see the screening, but some were let in at the start of the movie (maybe 5000), some let in after 25 minutes (say 200000), some after 50 (another 200000), some after 1 hour and 15 minutes (the last 500000 or so). All of us got to see the movie, of course, but most of us saw the last 45 minutes only. Way to go.
  8. You know why? Because the "opening screener" as you put it holds space for 999999 people, and 12345 people were let in - in this case, YES, I WOULD SCREAM about it. Please try to use logic when attempting to diminish and shoot down my comments. My comments are based around logic, thought, and evidence. Every single attempt to shoot my comments down has been with what is equivalent to "straw man" arguments.
  9. Except that I bought my movie ticket at the door, before the movie was starting (long before), arrived long before the movie started, waited for them to start allowing EVERYONE (key word) to enter the theatre, and was then told I could not go in, because they wanted to make sure the 5 groups before me got their seats first. In doing so, I was "allowed" to see 4 of the 7 previews that aired before the opening scene. Sorry, but I want to see all 7, especially if I got there in time and waited WITH EVERYONE ELSE inb4the "you ordered after" - PRE-SHOW EVENTS ARE FOR EVERYONE, IN EVERY EVENT OF ANY KIND - sports, movies, concerts, etc. Name ONE event that has pre-event stuff that is billed WITH the purchase, and then DENIED to the purchasers other than SWTOR. Dont spin it with "you were told 'up to'" as this is just a legal defense mechanism to prevent lawsuits for failure to provide service.
  10. Really? I got my game for FREE? FROM A LIMITED POOL OF GAME COPIES? SCHWEET!
  11. Too bad that at launch they are forcing what you think they are trying to avoid: 1) All servers down for 1-2 minutes to "officially launch" the game 1a) Login servers get slammed at 12:01AM Eastern time Dec 20 1b) game servers get slammed at 12:01AM Eastern time Dec 20 2) Trying too hard to work up their customers into a frenzy because they are denying those customers their paid for services - albeit very cleverly crafted and worded so as to prevent any possibility of lawsuits. Let me ask you - how many MMO launches have given their pre-order customers early access/headstart? And how many have staggered said access? And on both of those, how many have had issues during head start? Finally, how many of those MMO launches have been great during head start but horrible during launch? Let me answer for you, in question order: Every single one Exactly one, SWTOR Exactly ZERO Exactly EVERY SINGLE ONE
  12. Actually it's like this: Mike: I bought this ticket to see the Patriots, it includes a free meal! Jason: So did I! I got in 3 hours ago, been walking around enjoying the stadium Mike: But I bought the same ticket you did! Why am I being told I have to wait outside for 2 more hours!?!? Jason: Because I am good and bought my ticket a month ago, while you bought yours two days ago! HAHAH NOOB!
  13. read the stupid posts on the launcher and news forum about "WE LAUNCHED TODAY"..... dated the 13th.
  14. No, but the concert doesnt last for years and years either.... and the opening acts dont last for days Use some common sense when relating one thing to another - you CAN get to a concert 5-7 hours before the concert starts and wait for them to open the doors... TO EVERYONE, BEFORE the concert starts. Simple customer service.
  15. Let me be very straight and to the point - when I preordered, there was the following statement: "You could get up to 5 days early access" There was no clarification (no, not even in a damned disclaimer) about how they were deeming the early access to be granted. Being of a LOGICAL mind, I figured that they would do so based on preorder date. I said immediately that staggered early access is lame and would cause a huge uproar - you get special bonuses for preordering, early access is to allow those that preorder the ability to GET THE F OUT OF THE STARTING ZONES so they dont have to fight for spawns/quests/etc. I will say it again - staggered early game access was STATED BY BIOWARE AS AN EVENT TO REDUCE STRESS ON THE SERVERS... NOT for allowing people in earlier than others. Read the release/posts where Reid STATED the reasons for the staggered access (which are all bull$ anyway).
  16. Funny, I bought a ticket to see Nickelback - the pre-show consists of Coldplay and Shinedown.... Shinedown is playing, but because my ticket purchase was at the door I cannot get in to see the acts before Nickelback even though they are included with the ticket purchase.
  17. Except he has a ticket, and a seat number, but he hasnt been told what seat number it is, and he hasnt been allowed to watch the pregame show (that is included with his ticket purchase)
  18. Funny - their own statements since the 13th (and news flashes) have said "We launched"
  19. And the rage on the forums is the equivalent.
  20. I once paid for a sports ticket to an american football game. I had thousands in front of me in line because they got there first, but the ticket takers decided to stop allowing people into the stadium when 1/20th of the seats were full, until the end of the pre-game show. OH WAIT, THAT DOESNT HAPPEN... you know why? Because YOU SIMPLY DO NOT DENY ACCESS TO PAYING CUSTOMERS. Those people got there before me, but that does not mean I should be denied the ability to get to my seat because of any damned reason. Ever. What you fail to understand is that early game access is a VALUE ADD SERVICE - it is promoted as a value added feature for buying the game before the official release. It is used as a marketing tool, much the same as a package deal on food (read: value meals). You get what you paid for, and when you don't, you have a right to be upset and VOCAL about it.
  21. Actually, they did, quite straightforwardly too. Get your facts straight - their MAIN REASON for the staggered early access was to HELP STABILITY
  22. One thing you all are using as defense is "they 'originally said up to 5 days'" - guess what - they changed that to UP TO 7 DAYS Their "reasoning" for the phasing in of players was to not "stress test" the servers.... but that is exactly what will be happening on launch day according to their own definition of stress test! This is straightforward and simple - a slap in the face to those people who preordered. Period. There is no sugar coating, LOGIC prevails - they changed the schedule, and people are RIGHTFULLY raging about it.
  23. My apologies on this, I saw the total I was charged and didn't take tax into account when the total was Total $63.74 That said, still there is the issue I have posted a ton about.
  24. Your quoting of the SWTOR dev quote further emphasizes my question, which has not even been looked at HOW DOES STAGGERING THE EARLY ACCESS STOP THE "STRESS TEST" THAT IS LAUNCH DAY? ACCORDING TO THAT VERY QUOTED POST, LAUNCH DAY WILL BE A MASSIVE STRESS TEST, BASED ON THEIR OWN DEFINITION OF A STRESS TEST So please, try to answer my question as to the logistics of staggering 5-10% of the games pre-orders stopping the STRESS TEST that will be launch day?
