  1. I'm less concerned with advancement, and more with the fact that there's a lot of cool social gear I'll probably never get to – because getting a FP group once in a while doesn't really get you that many Social Ranks A LFG tool is badly needed tho. In a game where you craft a solo-story from 1 to 50, you really need to not make the act of getting players into a group, more of a hassle than necessary. No cross-server LFG I can completely understand. What good does it do to foster community between players who can only meet up when thrown together by the LFG God? Server transfers to get people off the ghost servers is a better answer for that.
  2. They can do better, yes. Sadly it seems as tho the Star Wars armor, somehow got thrown into the Mass Effect 3 art pipeline. Seems to be more armor in that game, that's closer to being "Star Wars-y" than here
  3. *EDIT* Looks like it is only the set bonus that is a no-go, while all mods on older stuff will be transferable. So it's not THAT bad in the end. *EDIT* I wonder how much easier it would have been for BioWare to just admit their system wasn't what people were expecting, and go for the damn Apperance tab – and this discussion raged back in Beta. Instead, they are still trying to pass the "mod" system of as being able to do everything such a tab can, and more. They pour so much money into a story-driven solo questing experience, in order to make you care about the character you are playing, yet completely ignore that the single most needed system for a player to care and connect with his character, is the ability to control the visual appearance of said character. This is probably the one system that PvPers, PvEers, RPers, Casuals, Hardcore and every single segment agree the most on. Still, it's being treated as a 2nd rate mechanic by BioWare. They are still working on this as if it's a single player RPG, with a persistant database connected to it to pulle numbers from. Hopefully this "only new items will benefit from the changes", wont be true for social armor, once they get around to implementing their light/medium/heavy fix for that system.
  4. Indeed. Still rocking a passive cooled 8800GT here tho. Surprised it hasn't set my case on fire in all those years. It doubles as a furnace in those long cold winters
  5. 1. Less "not-fun" timesinks, like having run through multiple load screens to change planets. 2. More "fun" timesinks like decorating your ship and mini-games like sabacs 3. A "Team Papercuts" to fix/change all those little things that combined change a game from, 'playable' to 'enjoyable'.
  6. "... then I took an arrow to the knee". Oh wait.... "What's in it for me?" ( Smuggler ).
  7. Weeks? Who knows. 1 or 2 I'd guess, yes. Because unlike most people here, I've actually worked with several organizations the size of BW, and nobody from upper management in companies those sizes, is going to go on stage and spout numbers he just got, from Joe the IT-guy who pulled a database query, over the phone 5 minutes before ( hell, it took them what, a week or two to get that LOL optimization "guide" approved to post it here? ). Do you think these people actually do their own presentations? That the slides aren't coming from multiple people within the company? And that the different people who provided those slides and numbers didn't in turn work with other people to make sure the information was correct, and more importantly, presented in a way that puts the best possible spin on the situation, without outright lying? Nobody is just giving you raw numbers, which didn't go through all the checks and balances in the organisation. It's not like 1-2 weeks will change the numbers substantially. 1.7m doesn't drop to say 1.3m in that period.
  8. Where do you work, where the turn-around from the guy doing the database query, to the top management is only a day or two? Apparently in your company, that database guy doesn't have a boss, who in turn doesn't have a legal department and/or PR department that he needs to check with before supplying management with numbers, and there's also apparently direct access to said management and not a few hands, like junior consultants etc. to go though. Regardless, doesn't sound like a company the size of which is relevant in this discussion.
  9. The quotes are from today, yes. But they didn't just wake up this morning and went; "Hey, we got this big thing today. Let's whip up the presentation in a hurry. Daniel, can you pull the approved-double-checked-dotted-subsriber numbers from the magic box?" Presentations today. Numbers pulled, approved, went through multiple peoples' hands a long time ago. Maybe you should spend your time actually working in a big company, that way you would know how that information, that the companies you apparently invest in, comes into frutition. You would probably improve your hit-rate on the stock market as well.
  10. DOOOOOOOOOOM The servers were full when the game launched in december. Where are they naaaauw!!11!!LOL GLOOOOOOOM It's failing!!!11!!LOL It was holiday when they launched, that's why the numbers are high!!! TROLOLOL. Priceless; nay-sayers trying to spin the same fact 2 different ways Now what is it? is the lower pop numbers now acceptable, since the game was launched on holidays and now it's, well, not holiday anymore? Or Are the numbers bad, since they are only high due to a holiday launch? Sorry, you can't have it both ways. Well, you can, when trying to stuff ******** down *******' and sheeps' throats.
  11. Nobody can answer that. We all rage-quit according to the haters But no, you can't post if you are not subscribed.
  12. LOL If everyone was in their free month, and every copy sold has a free month. Why 1.7m subscribers with 2m copies sold? Guessing 300k found a way to cancel their free month? Some common sense and a bit of reading comprehension when trying to trololol please.
