  1. Please add to the Cartel store other animations for out of combat health recovery (i.e. Channel Hatred or Seethe.) I am aware of the Carbonite item, but it is too flashy from an RP perspective.
  2. If anyone stumbles on this like I did from Google... I'm pretty sure this is a Marauder (Jaessa is the companion) wearing an Agent chest and headpiece. I have the head piece on a couple of my companions (helmet) and have seen this style of coat on Agents before (although I don't recall seeing white.) bitferret
  3. It's not a giggle... it sounds like he is really straining something.... and it happens frequently. Don't tell me I'm the only one hearing this? bitferret
  4. Does the Sith Warrior grunting bother any of you also? I love SW/JK combat... it feels visceral and interactive. I even prefer it over my Shadow and Assassin which were my first two 50's. I even like the SW animations over the JK animations... BUT, I can't stand all the grunting he does while we fight. What are your thoughts? Devs, any chance of getting a toggle to turn off character combat sounds? (low priority I know, but somewhere down the road?) bitferret
  5. I agree whole heartedly. I have a 50 SW and am a bit disappointed with the Jedi animations. Not so much with how they look, but every time I swing I'm waving my light saber around a bit much. Another approach (instead of giving us choice) would be to random which animation you used each attack - SW or JK animation (more overhead I know, but it might work.) This would make combat look more exciting and less static. bitferret... aka... Luceon Vae (14 Jedi Knight) Darth Saevion (50 Sith Warrior) Nocta Vae (50 Shadow) Nylus Vae (50 Assasin)
  6. Hello... I was thinking recently about Ilum and what kind of game play I think would be fun. These are high level ideas with the thought the dev's can figure out the details. I like the idea of an ongoing battle where what you do means something overtime - the basic spirit of an MMO. How about weekly or monthly roll up of competitions between the Republic and the Empire? This would bolster the war theme and provide story backgrounds for different activities. What I have been thinking of recently is a combination of PVP and PVE play that combines for a total points system totaled daily, weekly and possibly monthly. The PVP game could involve different types of pvp activities (capture and hold positions, pushing the opposing side back (think BF Rush), etc.) You could gain points for achieving each of these goals as well as points for general open world pvp. Points would be tallied both personally and for your faction. The PVE game could incorporate and add to the existing dailies as well as providing a few world bosses on each side (open world raids maybe.) Again, depending on your actions you could store resource points to support the war effort and be tallied personally and for your faction. Summaries of the action should be available in fleet through terminals. We could have daily and weekly high score lists and achievements delivered through the news terminals. The success of this would largely depend on balancing to keep the points race close between the factions. This might include handicapping or some other method to assist a side that falls to far behind. What do you think? Sound fun?
  7. This is a great idea... thank you Aneu for taking the time to put it together. Open world PvP with progressive objectives would be great. They would need to reset periodically (weekly?) to allow a side that has gotten beaten down a chance to start over. A map in fleet showing the progress during the week would be fun to see and maybe encourage others to join. This would also fit well in the over-arching story of war. 8. I wanted to comment on how some game update information has filtered out into the community from the developers. In particular I really enjoyed the "news" pieces on economic changes coming up in 1.1.5. To take it a step further it would awesome if there were "news" kiosks in game (maybe at the fleet locations?) sprinkling information on upcoming changes to the game (stuff that makes sense from a characters perspective - not specific game mechanics.) Again, great idea on releasing information as in game news Bioware.
  9. Hello fellow healers, I wanted to find out how many are having problems with the Focus Target Modifier button not working reliably? For me, if I could reliably press a mouse button + heal button (keybound) and always heal my Focus'd target I wouldn't need any addons or macros for healing. However, I have a Steelseries "other" mmo mouse and when I bind the Focus Target Modifier to one of my thumb buttons it only works about 70% of the time - the other 30% is a wasted heal on myself while my tank (or companion tank) gets further beat down. Are you experiencing problems with Focus Target Modifier? How are you implementing it? (Bound to mouse, bound to keyboard, some other binding?)
