  1. Your are very right that we dont have a minimum range. I have tried this many times and it doesnt seem to push them to retreat or back up. Also overload only pushes them about 8m away. They are rooted and cant move for a bit but they aren't stunned unfortunately, meaning they can still attack, 8m is just not enough. Other classes can push me further and some can also stun me in the process. Force storm doesn't do much damage unless you cast it on a group from what I have witnessed so far. I wouldn't mind seeing force storm at least slow a target down, then i might just forget about more melee damage. What others have mentioned: 1. Toilet Paper armor - I remember ack in the old days of D&D where a magic user wasnt allowed to cast if they wore something heavier than a light robe. So im fine with that. 2. We do have one ability that breaks stuns but unfortunately in takes forever to cooldown. So that can be fixed too IMO. Not asking for a god button or the famous up, down, up down, left, right, left, right, A, B, Select, Start. A few tweaks here and there and Sorcs are balanced against other classes without being over powering.
  2. I have never played WoW but your right other classes have abilities that hit hard whether they need it or not. I dont mind not needing thrash but seriously thats all i have when they get up close and its not more than a mosquito bite if you ask me. That sounds about right, we didnt have the same problem in SWG (there were plenty of other probs lmao) but this sounds like a good solution. I hope its feasible. Sorcs should rely on their ranged attacks but still be efficient up to maybe 75% - 85% with the saber IMHO.
  3. No im not whining at all, Im just stating the fact that the saber is useless except to give me a few extra stats. Thrash and Saber Strike are useless at the moment. I just want to be able to give my opponent something to think about when they get in close.
  4. Okay I have been reading posts all day about how people are complaining about one thing or the other saying that sorcs are broken and unbalanced, not knocking your opinions just stating a fact. If I remember correctly Sorc is a ranged force user, and has always been meant to be such. Like a sniper I have to pull myself away from the croud and stand still to cast ranged spells to do as much damage as I can. I am currently a lightning spec (planning on trying others) and I think so far all is good. The other team bunches up near a node and I let out force storm, then hit em with chain lighning (that i got free to use btw cant remember the tree selection for that), as long as they keep the grouping mentallity up i get a ton of damage in a short time. I dont have to worry about kills because i am getting the assists on a bunch at once. Now when im discovered standing just out of the line of sight behind a pillar, or a large box i get attacked by at least 2 people cutting me down with their sabers. Sure i can use overload and run but i dont get far because im 9 times out of 10 getting pulled back to where i was originally. And if i dont have someone right there to help me im toast -- nice and sliced waiting to be served. So my issue is when are sorcs going to get more melee damage just in case things get a little up close and personal? My saber is a glorified flashlight that does maybe 400 dmg each hit (just know its not much). I want a funtional saber. I know that being able to use some force abilities you need to concentrate to use them meaning you cant move while doing so. Even the Emporer had to stand still in "Revan" to cast. I dont want the dmg to be raised to the point where I can substitute my ranged attacks to jump into the fight: it just needs to be raised enough to make my opponent think twice before jumping in at me. Even a player that is almost dead just needs to get close from behind or blindside me to get the kill without deing. Get rid of the 1d4 dmg and replace it with 1d10 at least (sorry only refference i have that similar is from old D&D). And I would also like to be able to throw my saber once in awhile since I am ranged already.
  5. Im pretty sure that everyone has noticed from time to time while leveling up that there is at least 1 person sitting in a corner or hiding during the entire WZ match. Or the person is purposely running towards death the entire time. Those people are using the "time in game" to get rewards that should only be given to the pvper that actually worked for the win. Then they go out and say they earned the gear and are using the advantage to "roll fresh 50's". I personally like the fact of ranking because now that person that is standing around doing nothing and not contributing will never see a piece of good gear unless they wise up and start playing. The idea of also reducing the rewards for killing as opposed to completing objectives I like very much. Too often you will see a team in Hutt Ball just trying to rack up kills and ignoring the ball. (but I only think it should be placed on Hutt Ball). In Voidstar the more kills I have means the less of you will reach the doors to complete an objective, same in Alderaan lol. As far as who is better in WZs......I have seen brand new level 17s run through a warzone and come out on the top of the player list at the end of the match. As for the 50s going against each other and calling it a "Gear War" well frankly it is. If you dont have the gear you wont win much. But it makes you a better player because you learn to look for the mistakes your opponent makes in order to get that WTH moment. I havent played in open world pvp on ilum yet but from what I hear of this kill trading I dont like. Since when do Sith and Jedi work well together (i will need book proof for this)? Also since when do waring factions say oh just kill us and let us do the same and we will worry about who won later? PvPers a minority? Maybe only the ones that only pvp, but there are tons of people that pvp to get gear to complete class quests, or level up. Bottom line the people that have uber gear should have been people that really earned it all along. And hopefully in the future it will stay that way. Im not grinding (and yes being an active part of each WZ) warzones for 4000 WZ comms (3k to be turned into 1k mercenary comms) just so I can get 1 Battlemaster comm for nothing. And when I hit 60 valor I can suit up and show off what I EARNED.
