  1. After talking to a few guilds on the server, it looks like we are going to try and stay hoping people come to us. It is a great server and just needs more people to help round out the population. It is a mature, friendly server and has room so you dont run into log in queues. /waveshand *You want to come to Tarro Blood*
  2. Unless something major changes, my guild and a number of other guilds plan to stay on Tarro Blood. Unofficially it ranks 50th overall for US servers or 25th for East Coast. That means we have room to grow. The server is mature and friendly. We have seen events for pvp and games. We are hoping to be a target server instead of looking for a new home, but most are prepared for anything. Please consider Tarro Blood in your choices. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.
  3. Mine are different for the most part but I could easily do the same look for them all as well. I think if you are happy with how they look, it does not matter much if they are all the same.
  4. Of course you can. Even if you were on a PvE server, ya gotta try to represent your home right? While I hope we can see Tarro Blood get an injection of players, it remains to be seen how BW will run with transfers. It is pretty simple, we either get a good amount of players to help us, or we leave to other servers. I prefer staying but I will be ready fot anything.
  5. Love to see posts like this. It has a mix of good and bad things but it is done in a constructive manner so it is well played in my book. Welcome to TOR and I see that you have had some good help already. Some advise is to keep a pace that not only you can handle, but also enjoy. If that means you want to read through things, just mention that as you are out there with people and they will or should understand. Expect some slow times, expect some times of struggle, and expect some people to be rude. Basically, you are playing with other people and not everyone has the same goals or play with the same knowledge, abilities, or inspiration as you. You will run into people who are only about trying to make others mad. You will run into people who expect you to know everything, have all the best gear, and if you don't you are a waste of time to them. You will also run into people who have no clue of what they are doing and will try your patience to the maximum as you try to help them. MMO's in my opinion are about the people. The content brings us all together, but it is the people that makes the game the most enjoyable. Working with others, fighting against others, completeing things, helping each other all are the very meaning of MMO's. The best times are with others be it in a guild or a group. I hope you can continue to enjoy your time in game and please never hesitate to ask questions, here or in game.
  6. I wanted to promote our server, Tarro Blood, to gain some exposure. While we are all waiting to see how transfers will work, we sould prepare for anything. One possibility, considering that our server is ranked 25th overall for East Coast servers, or about 50th overall for US servers, is that BW may point people in a certain direction. Being in the top 50 or even the top 25 for EST, it is possible that it may be a target server which would only be a win/win for everyone. The server is very friendly and mature. We are Empire heavy but what server isn't? lol The big thing is we have room to build on a very solid foundation. There has been events involving pvp, games, ect.. We have a number of guilds looking to help with transitions. Be that you are looking for a new guild or just need help with setting up your own, we are willing to do what we can to assist you. Unless the server drops due to mass exodus, which we will be ready for as well, then at least you should consider Tarro Blood for your next home.
  7. Trying to help him remember where he was and since Fleet is a major stopping point, I figured it might help.
  8. Welcome back. I would head to your ship hanger on fleet to find your ship. It should be the door that has your class name on it. If you open up your quest log, you will find all quests that you have active. Some might not be showing if they are not "turned on" in the log, or you may have more than what the screen can show you so it might look like "# additional quests". I think if you look at your class missions, you might remember what you were doing more since you leave to fleet because of your class mission. Once on fleet you pick your advanced class, crew skills, and other odds-n-ends, then either run the Flash Point or head of to the next world you are told to go to.
  9. I think most are waiting to see more details on how things will happen. Are certain servers target servers? Will the top 5 be blocked to prevent overcrowding? Will they allow the lower servers to move to say the top 25 and those on the top 25 are not able to move? I think we can all agree that Legacy will go with you, since that is a huge part of the character, but not knowing some of the other things is preventing many from knowing really what they want to do. I would love to see people come to Tarro Blood and will help anyone who does go there, but I won't push for people to move to a server that overall is ranked about 50th, or 25th for PVE US servers. If I knew that BW was targetting our server to have people move to, then I will spam the forums to get people to look our way. The server is very mature and has room to grow. My guild and I are also going to be prepared to move though. I have already been testing servers and plan to do more. We need to know more details to be able to really help ourselves. Summer is coming.
  10. BUT I want an Oompa Loompa NOWWWWW!
  11. First off, welcome to the game and MMO's. I love that you are finding a liking to a different world and I hope you can continue to enjoy yourself in the game. This game brings a very real opportunity to remain as a single player, or you can just as easily work with others to blend the MMO idea. I will say that this game is a bit more restricting on a true MMO, but for you, since you wanted single player first, you will find that the blend that can happen will fit perfectly for what you want to accomplish. As for Armor, it can be argued which Armor is overall the best. It is true that most of the higher end Armor is gained through playing in PvP instances. You can however work on completeling the highest PvE Armor and perform just fine. It is when you have PvE armor and look to PvP where you would lose out on how the Armor helps you. You do not need to reroll or go to a different server at all. You can use commendations you aquire as you are leveling/questing, to upgrade Armor and modifiers to enhance Armor. PvP Armor is gained with warzone commendations. PvE Armor is questing/planet commendations.
  12. You make some very valid points and there are some no brainer situations but I must say that the idea of good customer service can be such a varying range. Personally, and thankfully I have not had many issues so far, but the the problems I have had were dealt with in a good fashion. They replied to the initial ticket with the droid thing. Then, depending on if I was in game or not, I either got a GM to help or saw a reply to the ticket. Was it one minute after the ticket was put in? Did it resolve my issue 100%? No, BUT my expectations are such that what they did help with was enough. TOO many people, and I am not saying you are one of them OP, expect everything on a plate. They expect it to be fixed the second a ticket is put in and they expect not only that the problem be corrected, but that they should get some type of bonus for dealing with this issue. There is no CS in the world that will fit into everyone's idea of good customer service. Especially one that deals with a large player base. I agree with a lot of what you said in your post but I am not sure BW is capable of providing the more personal touches to have the "human" responses, at least not initially. Once you are working with an actual person, then replies and correspondence can have more weight on empathy, acknowledgement, understanding, and of course proper resolution.
  13. I think it is VERY helpful to use Voice in PvP, Raids, Instances, ect. I feel that you don't need to talk if you are not running the event, but listening in real time is a huge bonus.
  14. Helping to make this game more social just might turn it into an MMO! shhhhhhhh tread lightly here! lol
  15. Until they allow the factions to be more streamlined in communication, and such, then I can get behind this sort of thing. My issue now is, being in an Imp guild, once my story changes me to Repub, I would then be cut off from talking to my own guild. lol Of course if they did do something like this, they would more than likely already have multipule faction guilds.
  16. Cared enough to post a comment. Go on with your $14.99 bad self. /snapsnapsnap lol
  17. Advertise your server in as many places as you can. Some posts might get moved if they are in the "wrong section" but hey, you got your post out there. I am sure many are looking for a new home. You just have to put on the right color of paint, have the right price in the home, and let the buyers make thier mental offers. I hope BW does this in a responsible way. I can see thjis getting crazy and end up costing more subs than they would like.
  18. They are going to be doing server transfers in the summer. They have not given much in details on how it will work but it is coming soon.
  19. With your approach the sky is the limit for you in games. The key is to make sure you are enjoying your time while playing. There will be slow times, times it feels like a grind, and times of frustration, but it all adds into the experience and growth of the characters. Once you find yourself not enjoying the game, then you should look at why, then see if there are ways to improve or change to get the joy back. If you find yourself on the server Tarro Blood and need help, please feel free to ask me. Or just PM here and I can help you as much as possible no matter what server.
  20. In my opinion, and this depends on how BW is going to allow moves, I would consider looking into servers in the top ten or twenty population wise. You can narrow that down more by the type of server and it's location. Once you have some names, I would make "throw away" characters and run around the server to get a feel for things. Leveling up to lvl 10, or getting to fleet is not long and fleet will open up a lot more for gauging activity. Asking different people questions to get different opinions and then make your choice once you find which server fits best. I like to use this site, http://www.torstatus.net/ , but I know it is not the end all be all of exact server populations. Our guild is already testing servers. We feel that being prepared is important and having some basic knowledge of a server is a big advantage. I am not sure how BW will run transfers but it never hurts to be ready for anything.
  21. When I see questions, even ones I don't know the answers to, I send a /tell to that person with an answer or to tell them I am looking into it. I will also group with them and show them about some or help them with a few missions. Helping is a big part of my game and it keeps things fresh even if I had done a quest a million times. A positive experience at the start of a game has a huge impact on people. The day you expect someone to have the answers is the day you become irrelevant, for now you are just a voice without purpose. As you assist someone, you can always provide other ways for the player to look for themselves. This help goes beyond one person.
  22. If you are on the server Tarro Blood or find yourself going there, feel free to send me a PM about our Guild there.
  23. I have learned to pick and choose what to read and then what to respond to. This has helped me stay interested in visiting the forums. No game forums will ever be cleared of the "other" posts but given that these don't have specific server forums, we see EVERYONES business. Be a little more picky about which thread you get into and even then, if you find it is not to your liking, hop out and look onwards. There are some good people out there, even ones who have complained. We just need to figure out when and where we want to inject ourselves to provide our own knowledge and opinion.
  24. You had me at Morgan Freeman's voice!
