  1. EDIT: Thanks, you can ignore this thread now. I got this email from swtor@account.email.com and I'm not sure if this is legitimate or not. I definitely haven't even thought of selling my precious account. I would like to think the typo indicates it is fake, but I'm not entirely sure.
  2. Before 1.2, purple gear was orange gear with an armoring mod that couldn't be taken out. Now they can be taken out, so there really is no difference that I know of. More detail: Possibly, it's because certain difficulty of bosses (world bosses) don't drop "blues" (because oranges shared a rarity with blues). Oranges are easy to come by (quest rewards, crafting) while moddable artifact items are either end-game armor that takes a lot of effort to obtain, or rare drops from not-your-average-champion level bosses.
  3. Voice-overs are the only reason why we don't have more alienish species. They can't afford that many voice actors and they also don't want to deal with actually creating a full language for each species.
  4. Someone mentioned there was Mando armor at the social vendor on Ilum during the beta. Does anyone have screenshots of this?
  5. (read first two pages, not reading any more, so here's my opinion) My Assassin Twi'lek is very un-Sith and un-assassin by not having a hood. Although lekku in the front would be ideal, I'd GLADLY settle with having them cut off. Putting on any helmet cuts them off, what's the big deal with doing the same with a hood? As this is only one small change for a maximum of 8 different models (2 sexes, 4 sizes), I don't see how this would be that hard to change. Another thing they could do: many NPCs have the same stuff other Sith wear, but instead of having the hood up, the hood is down. Not GONE like what we Twi'lek experience, but instead the hood is folded in its place behind the neck. The LEAST they could do is give us that so we have visible hoods, even though they aren't being worn up. Dear BioWare: Choosing a Twi'lek species, the most identifiable Star Wars species besides the Wookiee, has been very disappointing for me. Please implement some change for Twi'lek, preferably lekku curving to the front of the chest while wearing hooded armor.
  6. To clarify, I'm not asking for reasons behind BW's initial choices. I want us to either be reimbursed for our wastings or be given another option to get the items we want.
  7. It's supposed to randomly give you one of the however many customizations there are, which includes Republic ones. I expected this, just not to be given eight out of eight. I don't expect them to add in the ability to buy individual ones OR for them to sell Imp boxes and Rep boxes (as they should have), but I do expect them to change SOMETHING before the event ends because wasting 160 samples on something I'll never use is terrible.
  8. The box from the Jawa that costs 20 blood samples seems to be a bane to us. Myself, I've bought 8 of the boxes and received 8 Republic Companion Cuzomizations. If I had Rep alts, maybe I'd enjoy it. Someone else on my server has received 8 Andronikos Customizations in a row. Is this a bug? Why did they program it this way? I would have paid 100 samples each for ones I actually want. As a game designer, I think they must have been pretty lazy when it came to programming this. It's been more than frustrating. If you've received similar terrible luck, please post. By the way, the chance of flipping a coin and getting the same face 8 times in a row is 0.390625%.
  9. I don't know what my favorite planet is. I just hate Belsavis. I think I've enjoyed every other planet quite a bit, but I just cannot stand doing the story on Belsavis. I rushed my BH through it but my agent and SI have been there for about a month because I just do not want to put myself through it. I also disliked Quesh because it seemed so pointless. I know I liked Ilum, Corellia, and Hoth quite a bit. Maybe those are my favorites, but I couldn't really tell you. EDIT: Balmorra and Corellia, the war-torn planets. Those are the two I like the most. I like the feel of war in a game, and only these planets offered that feeling. Taris didn't feel like that for me, but I can't place my finger on why.
  10. Read the first page, but that's all. MMOs are probably the slowest to evolve because they have to please so many people who literally have nothing to do but whine all day. MMOs are more financially based than any other genre. A normal 60 hour game needs to 1: hold your attention for 60 hours and 2: cost about $60. MMOs want you to play for 3000 hours and make you pay $60 + $15/mo. MMOs can't handle dynamic questing because they have to put up with people on the lowest level high-speed internet and computers from six years ago. To alienate these people would mean to lose probably a quarter of their profit. It would also cost a lot more to develop. Bioware is doing something innovative right now by having a story-driven MMO based on well-established IP. SWTOR has done what it set out to do: deliver a quality story in an MMORPG for Star Wars fans. When we all have 1GB/s internet and 16GB of RAM and i9 processors, when we ALL do, we'll be able to handle dynamics on games as big as MMOs. In twenty years we'll likely have what the OP was asking for. We'll also need people to WANT it. WOW is currently ruining the MMO industry, and we can only blame the people giving them money. I can't say whether or not that applies to SWTOR as well. Words from a game designer currently ending his third year in college.
  11. So it's confirmed that it's a bug? I've killed all three bosses two or three times each. I heard a RUMOR that killing them over and over would eventually fix it for me.
  12. A lot of us, if not all of us, have been stuck at 8/9. How do we finish this?
