  4. The Walking Carpets Republic Guild | West Coast US PvE | Casual | Progression WHO WE ARE: The Walking Carpets is a small (but growing), mature, casual guild with interest in all aspects of the game. We are a tight-knit, no-drama group composed of gamers with work and family obligations that always supersede anything happening in the game. Our members range from MMO-vets with progression raiding experience to people for whom SWTOR is their first MMO. Most of us are older (25+) with families. The Walking Carpets seeks to provide a home to individuals who have real life commitments, but also enjoying getting things done in game. Our guild is part of a raid alliance, giving our members access to all tiers of content. Our members approach progression raids with focus that also never loses sight of fun. The Walking Carpets is not (and never will be) a “server first” raiding experience. The leadership of The Walking Carpets is focused on creating an fun, respectful environment where our members are able to enjoy all aspects of the game. We will not tolerate elitist, me-first attitudes or players that otherwise create unnecessary drama for the group. CURRENTLY RECRUITING: We are currently looking for other like-minded individuals to join us. Our progression group is currently 4/5 Hm TfB and we have cleared all other content. If you are interested in joining our MMO family please register and fill out an application on our site. All roles and levels are welcome to apply. Note: We also have a Sister Imperial Guild that is also looking additional members.

  15. The Problem: No one runs normal mode level 50 FPs! Fresh level 50s want to jump into end-game PVE content which consists of either lvl 50 normal FPs, hard mode FPs or Operations. FPs are the most accessible form of content (as you need a smaller, less organized group). So, you either do normal modes or hard-modes, but with hard-modes requiring a significant upgrade in gear relative to what the normal fresh 50 has, these are not a viable option. This leaves normal mode FPs, but can you ever find a group for these? The reason for all of this is simple: 1) Normal 50 FPs drop crap gear The solution to the gearing problem that most people employ (and which I used myself) is to run the Ilum/Belsavis dailies and/or PVP. This is a totally viable solution, but MMOs are about choices and why not do the following: Have normal mode FPs drop 1-2 Tionese commendations and 2-4 Tionese crystals. Tionese gear is stupidly expensive at the moment, especially considering you only get the currency to purchase it from hard modes many of which need Tionese or better gear to complete. This change would provide an alternative to the daily/pvp gearing up grind and encourage people to run normal mode FPs and help smooth out the gearing up process.
