I've just gotten.. I want to say Therran?.. the exotech inventor. Anyways, I'd hoped when I'd gotten him that he wouldn't exhibit the same odd behaviours that Qyzen does, but alas, he does. So I'm just left to ask.. what the heck is wrong with the JC companions?
So far they don't automatically run in when I attack with Disturbance or Force Wave, if I am grouped with someone and I'm in combat against 3 mobs, if I haven't attacked one with another attack from those and I nor the companion haven't been attacked by it, he'll just stand where he was fighting the last mob and look stupid. And to top it off, if I try and pull with my CC, he'll charge the CC and break it if I don't manually tell him to attack another before he can break it.
So.. what the heck gives?

You gain levels and get the last name, but they're adding more to it.

I want to reroll my SW (want to go light side this time) but I'm holding out in case there's an interesting new race/class combination allowed for em. Chiss is probably the only one I'd consider, tho maybe ratataki. Either way, I'm paralyzed from starting on this project until I know more info!
Anyone else holding out because of the Legacy system?
-
Are you jumping a lot while you run?
-
Overall it's a change for the better to how it was last patch. My only suggestion would be to not grey out abilities that are simply unavailable due to GCD. The highlight "wipe" or whatever is sufficient enough for GCD.
-
SWTOR'ers, are you sick of seeing mention of SWG?
-
Haha, those "massage" shots are pretty good. I've seen the naked thing before (both Pierce and Quinn were in their skivvies in a few cutscenes towards the end of the SW storyline), and I've also read about them fixing that, but this seems a bit different.
-
So I was doing a conversation on my ship with Lt. Pierce when I realized he wasn't showing the customization I bought for him. Of course, now that I think of it, he wasn't wearing any of the gear I've given him either. I'm not positive how much of this happens with my other characters, I'll have to keep my eyes open when more coversations open up. I know for a fact that Jaesa is wearing the gear I give her in the cutscenes (minus the helm).
Does this happen with any other classes companions at all?

This is driving me nuts! As an achievement hunter, and this being the closest there are to achievements, the number of issues with the codex is maddening. Ignoring all the broken entries that are unattainable, something so simple as the pop-ups stopping at level 50 is just inexcusable. I'll notice random Legacy xp gains and have no idea what I just got, or even when it happened.

You're!!!
You're!!!
You're for the love of god

Wait.. you think Imperials have it easy? The armaments collecting is a joke, you'd be spending a long time each day doing it. And no Republic players = no kill credits. So no, it's not a good situation for either side.
-
Ideally I would have liked to see an Imperial Trooper to be the analogue to the Republic Trooper, but we got BH instead. I think it'd be pretty cool in the future to see an Imperial Guard class. Please note, these aren't troopers. If you've played the Imperial storyline, they're the elite guard who use electrostaves and guns. Usually dressed in the red armour. I think that it has the potential for some interesting story ideas.
Not sure what the Pube analogue would be.

Chiss Jedi
I would be all over this.
-
Well, Ratataki could be any of the Republic classes. Only reason there's no Ratataki Sith Warriors is story reasons, although that doesn't really hold water with Zabraks being allowed. I wouldn't be surprised if that were to open up with the Legacy system even.
So, you could have Ratataki = all 4 classes
Sith Pureblood = JK/JC
That seems just as fair as what Empire gets!
As for the Twi'leks and their lekku, yeah.. tho there are some helms I've seen on Inquisitors that are full head coverings that the lekku just disappear. That seems like the best solution IMO.

/facepalm

the number of customization options STINKS atm. I'm less than pleased that MULTIPLE races from the completely different planets have all of the same hair styles etc. Seems lazy imo.
Yeah, but that's not the issue. Even if there aren't enough options as is in your opinion, it would still take resources to adapt/add some for new races. That seems more like expansion material to me.

Sith Pureblood Consular?
........ *removes glasses* Mother of the Living Force...
Quoted because I loved it.
YEAHHHHHH!
-
Well, as for new player races, that requires a lot more work. They have to create all the different customization options, plus there could be issues with make each model work with the gear out there. They've also said they want all the player races to be "near human" so no Ithroians I think the most out there they'd get is Cathar or maybe Nautilan (did I get that right?).
-
I really doubt they'll do that, but it'd be convenient. That's a possible revenue source tho, so they'll probably just wait until they can put it in as a monetized service.
-
So, with the new video we saw a Miralukan (? blind fold guys) as a low-level Sith Warrior on Korriban. SO. Some new race/class combos are obviously going to be a part of the Legacy system. Has this confirmation affected anyone else? I personally am holding off on some alts until I learn more.
I'd love it if Bioware could sometime in the near future confirm which race/class combos will open up with the system. Ratataki Jedi Knights? Sith Pureblood Consulars? Miriallan Imperial Agents? What about the customization options for Zabraks, will they become available to both factions?
Must plan ahead!
-
Huh, you're right. Failed to register the Miraluka Sith Warrior at first. Interdesting.

Dagnabbit, spoilers!

So it's finally acknowledged.. the game doesn't use high res textures for gameplay, just for cinematics. Yes, great, awesome. I won't go into how that's not cool, I won't go into how Bioware handled the situation like shills. What I do want to address is advertising.
Upcoming content patch, Rise of the Rakghouls, looks pretty cool, huh? I mean, look at those screenshots of the gameplay. You know, the ones that misrepresent the games graphics? Be honest with the marketing guys! This is basically photoshopping a screenshot to look better than it is.
This whole situation is really souring me to Bioware. The company seems to have lost its heart; used to be it was clearly people who loved games, loved creating, loved the community, but now they've fallen in lock-step with the rest of the corporate world and are blowing smoke up our butts and telling us it's a luxurious spa treatment.
How far into the future do you see yourself with SWTOR?
