  1. Star Wars Galaxies is awesome and comparing it to SWGEmu is a mistake. The game as it was when it shut down had tons to do and you weren't hindered by factions, able to switch when it suited your play style. SWGEmu is based on an old old version of SWG that no one played so they released a version called the NGE which brought a classic leveling system which the game desperately needed. If you want a Star Wars GCW "fix" I highly urge you to try SWG Legends for how the game was when it closed.

As for TCW, there was an MMO that was made by Sony but got shut down shortly after the acquisition. It wasn't that fun but if you played Free Realms it was based on the same engine as that. It was a F2P. I never played much of it.

Honestly, I don't think EA should make a Star Wars MMO. It would be maddening. I'll wait for Disney to pickup a new publisher before I ask for a new star wars mmo.

  2. Just out of curiosity and to try to compare swtor to its "peers", how many ops "should" swtor have released with?

I know that at 1.0, they had EV and one boss in KP.

How many FULL ops "should" SWTOR have released to stay competitive with its "peers"?

It wouldn't matter about so much about the operations if they didn't market the game as operations being the main thing for end game content. You could only do Illum, an Operation, or PvP. That's literally the only end game content to do in a 1.0 version of SWTOR. Thank god they added legacy in 2.0. Remember, a vanilla swtor won't have legacy too. There also would be no circulating events or conquests, and strongholds. The difference between swtor and other people for SWTOR to stay competitive with their peers is that swtor didn't have any end game content but 3 things. That's why we're at where we are now. If SWTOR released with an operation, legacies, a working Illum, PvP, conquests, and strongholds then we would be in a completely different spot. If SWTOR had 4 operations then that still wouldn't have kept it competitive. It's not about how many of 1 type of content you have it's about the variation in the content and unfortunatly SWTOR had none at all.

  3. Vanilla SWTOR had no end game content. It was dreadful if it weren't for the class stories. Illum PvP couldn't even be done because of the lag. Why did everyone leave after a month? Because they did all the class stories, and the one operation. Unless you are a PvPer there isn't anything but the PvE gear grind but even then it was just doing EV over and over again lol. Honestly it would be a waste of resources. I say we let WoW do its thing and see how long that lasts. Haven't we had enough of following the WoW? It did so well for SWTOR .
  4. Still waiting for a Dev answer on this situation i want my 150% bonus

Why does a dev need to answer? You already discovered for yourself that the bonus only applies to unique strongholds. If you want the 150% bonus then decorate UNIQUE strongholds like the rest of us instead of cheating the system.

  5. I think for me the saddest part from the merges is seeing all the Skywalker legacies running around. It's lore breaking and not immersive at all. Coming from The Ebon Hawk, I always was able to find a spot on the fleet cantina to RP but now you cannot do that without a massive crowd throwing (soon, now that Life Day is coming...) snow packages at you (essentially what I equate this to for people standing on top of you). Now I cannot do this. For now, I will keep clicking teh report button for character names and RP ruiners. Maybe I'll get my RP server back :sul_confused:.

Edit: To all the people saying to ignore, there is so much trash that is thrown that my ignore list cannot handle it as its full. So what do then? Delete then have to repeat..?

  6. I don't think BioWare should do this. What would be better is for another big DvL event like Master Ranos but this time you can earn a different companion instead. What is point of all these events if BioWare turns around and says "never mind it actually wasnt exclusive, here you go!". I love going around the fleet and showing off Ranos and answering questions about how you can get her. :rak_03:
