  1. The games costs money, I've spent 180 dollars for the CE here in Switzerland. I have a good job so it's not that bad. I can live with it, that I stopped playing the game, it's a bad feeling having wasted 180 Dollars, but sometimes you get a bad game. But that's not true for everybody. If you have spent money for a game even have a 6 months subscribtion you don't want to hear, that you may have spent your money badly. That's why people read reviews after they bought the game and often react so badly if it got a bad score. They want to know, that they made the right choice.
  2. Blizzard can do that with 10 million people, so it must be possible. But of course support will cost EA / Bioware something and no support costs nothing.
  3. No, but they should learn from other MMO games like WoW. The talent trees for example, if you put a lot of crappy talents in there, they are no fun. Blizzard already made that change quite some time ago. But in Star Wars you still get 2 Point talents for 4% more shield probability and things like that. It's not bad if you learn from others. The problem is, that this games feels in it's core like a game from 2008 not 2011.
  4. No, but they can, they just don't want to until they have a paid service for it. Of course they can change the legacy name, if you use a Star Wars name the want to use, they will change it or if you use something like the Stalin legacy they will change it. But using a paid service is more lucrative then free support.
  5. Oh dear, I worked as gaming journalist and let me tell you, you have no idea what you just posted.
  6. I did that, stopped playing 5 days ago, finished Saints Row 3 and I am playing Skyrim again. Just went a few times online to check if my ticket got answered and after 8 days I recieved a one line long straight out lie, so that's that for this game and for Bioware. If you have to lie to your costumers you are done for me. Maybe I will buy Mass Effect 3, but I am not even sure about that. I used to buy every Bioware game day one for the last 10 years. To be fair, it was not just SWtoR, Dragon Age 2 was already a mess, but I still had hope for this game. You sold out your company to the EA overlord and released this game in this state, so the only thing for me is to hope, that you will end like Bullfrog, Origin, Mythic or Westwood. If you do not have the integrity to say no and wait with the launch until the game is finished, then you deserve no better.
  7. I have a Gladiator and a rated BG 2400+ title in WoW, I know PVP and PVP in this game is rubbish. It sucks on so many levels it's incredible, but the ability lag is the worst part of it. I played WoW while we were PVPing only in Tarrens Mill and also while Alterac and Warsong were introduced, it was buggy, it was imbalanced, but compared to Star Wars it was still very good. The problem is, that Bioware, compared to Blizzard has no history in multiplayer games.
  8. Next game = last game, most of us will return to WoW anyway. For me, the whole Star Wars the old Republic experience made me appreciate the game more, it could be some much worse, like this train wreck. What is really strange, it's supposed to be a MMO, but it feels not even close as populated as Skyrim, which is a Single Player game. I haven't meet a single other player in Taris and i was there for hours.
  9. The ability lag, pvp is useless like this. The lying, telling me that they are not able to change the legacy name, but state in their own rules, if a legacy name is breaking the rules, they will change it. Hey Bioware, do you think I am stupid or what. The support out of hell, 8 day to answer a ticket The amount of bugs
  10. But that was not the intention of this game. It's about story, voice and animation. The game looks great and they story is great and the animations are awesome. It's a Bioware game, so they made a Bioware game. Bioware makes story driven game, Blizzard makes multiplayer games. So you are playing a Bioware game.
  11. True, why should those great animations stop, just because you have pressed a button. The ability will start as soon as the animation is ready. It's not that complicated, it may feel strange, but the flawless animation you will get is worth it, believe me.
  12. No people make mistakes, companies don't. They will never sell their costumer an unfinished or flawed product. Why would a company like EA or Bioware, a company with such a great reputation, destroying their reputation by releasing a flawed game. Bioware would never risk their reputation just to sell a game. Else they would lose the trust of their customers and that would hurt them in future sales. So the game must good an the delay issue is not an issue, because they released the game.
  13. The costumer is buying the product, the costumer is not changing the product. The company or the artist is deciding about their product. If they have not changed the delay issue during the beta and still have released it's not a problem for Bioware and EA. So if it is not a problem for Bioware and EA there is not problem at all. They would not release an unfinished game. It's not your game, so you can not decide, if it is a problem, just play the game. Bioware and EA will decide in time, if it is a problem and if they decide it is a problem, they will change it.
