  1. Again this is ALL my opinions and I'm lvl 42 at this point, the idea here is to have a discussion and not to tell fellow marauders that they're stupid or their opinions doesn't matter. We should be fostering a community not trying to be mean to one another. I also don't buy into the we should be squishy because we do more damage, simply because since it seems Bioware hasn't gotten the ranged vs melee aspect of raiding correct, it seems like we're not doing more damage and we're actually just struggling to keep up.

I'm writing this as a jack of all trades post with the hopes of starting discussion on more than one aspect of the Marauder, so it will be a little scattered and all based on my opinions thus far and there fore is subject to change. For those it may help with regards to my mmo history, I played WoW from t4 to T11 as a rogue, including a server first 3 drake sarth kill and being a full t6 rogue (never got my damn warglaives though) PVE Annihiliation: My first thought is that the light saber form should be Ataru instead of Juyo but that's so inconsequential it's hilarious. The spec itself requires a decent bit of ramp up time and attention to dots, both of which don't necessarily bother me but also means it's not particularly good for leveling as I found out. I feel like it should be a little bit more fluid and this is hampered by two specific factors. The first being that deadly sabers just isn't a fun move and the fact that you have to activate it on you're own is just kind of a pain, though access to Pulverize and Annhilate makes it easier, the priority seems to still be clunky, until you've fully filled out the tree. I've also heard that dps at raid level just isn't on par for the amount of attention needed to maintain a cycle. Carnage: Carnage reminds me of combat sword spec in BC, where the idea is to proc extra attacks as often as possible and relying on "auto attack" damage. It's pretty fun but after you open up with gore then force scream, you just kind of spam assault and massacre until gore is back up, which I wouldn't mind as much if they CD on gore was a few seconds shorter. Rage: Rage bothers me because it feels like that could've been the marauder tank tree right there, but instead it's the tree we share with our single saber wielding bros the juggernauts. That said I've heard it's the best tree for end game PVE which also bothers me but this is again here say and I haven't tried the spec either, so this is all opinions, take it for what it's worth. I worry about us Marauders, I love the idea of being the dual wielding melee heavy hitter but it feels at times like we're the red headed step child and that Bioware isn't quite sure whether we're medium armored Assasins or weaker Juggernauts. Nothing serves as a better reminder of that than when I go into a flash point and I'm running between mobs pounding on keys while a Sorc is chilling in the back with his AOE Stun Death from above move. It also worries me that we're the only class that can only DPS and that unless we bring competitive DPS we may be replaced, this could be entirely wrong though. The only other huge complaint I have and this is again just my two cents, I'm a marauder and I wear medium armor. STOP GIVING ME DRESSES AND SKIRTS, I DON'T WANT THEM AND IF I DID I'D BE PLAYING AN INQUISITOR. Overall though, I enjoy my marauder and I've got no interest in rerolling and I hope that this will get some kind of positive discussion going.
