  1. I agree with most in this thread, the light side choice is so dumb but then again a lot of light sided choices are plain stupid and Bioware never makes the player suffer any consequences for their stupidity. But then again, that's Bioware for ya. I've long since stopped asking for their story choices to make sense. My canon choice is to kill Arcann and Senya. I felt a little bad for Senya but she's an idiot if she thinks her love alone is enough to pardon him of his crimes. Plus it felt much better to wrap up the story with Lana and Theron than Senya and Arcann. However, I did create a toon to romance Arcann cause why not? He was hot before his face got burned. I won't even pretend it makes a lick of sense or that my toon and Arcann should even be alive to have a romance together as I think everyone would be well within their rights to think that my toon conspired with Arcann or something and this was all one big set up or something.
  2. Not really, Most people aren't neutral at all. They just don't think that what they are doing is wrong, or if they do think it's wrong, they'll do it anyway because it serves their purpose. I made choices I felt were right for my character, and other choices were just for fun. Still ended up as Darth Nox. I don't mind Grey characters existing, in a world like SW they are the nail that sticks up. But I wouldn't want SW to be full of Grey force users. I'm already sick of kinda sorta Sith Kylo Ren and kinda sorta Jedi Rey. Sometimes I just want a Darth Malgus MFer. If the Jedi and Sith is getting replaced by people like Kylo and Rey, it's gonna be a very boring Star Wars.
  3. How dare you not embrace the Nox name! You foolish fool! Yeah, I had a problem with the Nox name when I was first given it, but I never changed it and it has grown on me and now I love it more than the other two. I actually hate the fact that no one calls me Nox in game. I just can't get behind the generic Outlander title.
  4. It was just boring more than anything. I also felt more like a bystander and they never gave me any personal stakes beyond "Arcann and Vaylin are bad" "You should be Emporer" "The Emporer is bad" Why the heck should my Nox give a d*mn? Plus it was way too many flashpoints and grinding through enemies. I felt disconnected from the world overall.

  6. I agree with this. Our characters can't go any place but down from there. I personally have no desire to go back to sitting on some dark council listening to Acina after ruling my own empire. Especially knowing that Darth Nox is far more powerful than her in general. I even think it would have been a good idea to make us create a brand new character for any new expansions if they wanted to go back to the Imp vs Pub. But yeah, I'm okay with the game ending at KotET.
  7. I figured this could be the case. EA isn't interested in story games so closing an MMO sounds about right. They probably want to put that talent into Anthem or some other multiplayer game. I knew the moment I got that crappy Andronikos reunion that only the laziest effort was put into the entire thing. Like it was just slapped together. Not to mention this guy told the truth about BW before, so yeah. It's easy to believe this is the case.
  8. I agree, I can't believe I logged in, had a 2 min chat and logged off. lol!! Don't expect much from Ashara's return.
  9. It's in the Companions & Contacts section. One of the alliance alerts called "A Pirate's life" or something like that.
  10. This is why I've never cared about BW's canon choice because I never choose "right" and also BW tend to go for the typical uninteresting and cliche choices. The LS Jedi Knight is the typical Star Wars hero and so it wouldn't shock me if he was the chosen canon hero.
  11. I agree. Yeah other force classes can have a history with the Emporer but it's a history Vitiate had buried. Valkorian was prepared to move on beyond the Empire and Republic, it makes no sense to hang on to pawns (Sith Warrior) et al. The SI had no prior history with him, plus a body that is capable of housing spirits with the possibility of immortality. Why waste time trying to convince old enemies and a tossed away pawn to trust him when a possible immortal body with no prior baggage is waiting for the taking?
  12. Valkorian and Arcann- I never felt connected to any of the villains I faced as the SI. I love the SI story but I felt like something was missing from Zash and Thanaton. Like there were missing scenes or something. It was hard to buy the relationship with them. And I only liked Zash after she was inside Khem (I choose to help her keep the body). I never understood my SI's subconscious "desire" to have Thanaton view him like his child. Or Zash liking me. All I did was run errands for them and then they tried to kill me. With Valkorian, I at least had time to talk to him, whether I trusted him or not I got a chance to develop and define my SI's relationship with him and I even wanted him to be my SI's father even though I didn't trust him. especially when he tells the Outlander that he is a part of him he wishes to keep. I sort of thought it was leading to that reveal. Arcann- I wanted him dead but I also felt bad for him and was able to express that. With Arcann, he was jealous of me but it also wasn't personal. Actually, I agree with Arcann wanting to kill my SI or lock him away until Valkorian could be killed. Valkorian was too dangerous to just let roam about, even in my SI's head. It's hard to take it personal with him and I don't care nearly enough about the Empire or Republic to care if he was bombing them to sh*t.
  13. I always side with the Empire. The Republic didn't lift a finger to help against The Eternal Throne, now they demand I break an alliance to help them? I wish my SI had force choked Malcolm right then and there, but for some reason, he keeps forgetting he can do that. As for Acina, I hope I get to betray her just like she tried to do the alliance. Personally, I would have preferred using my fleet to bomb them to hell and back, but whatever.
  14. If I had to choose, I would just kill off Theron and keep Lana. Even though I like him more than her and he's my SI's LI. First of all, I can't rationalize my SI trusting him to remain a member of the alliance or taking him back romantically. Even if the whole thing was a ruse. What would happen if he feels the need to do this again, is he supposed to be trusted every time he goes off to "betray" the alliance? And what message does this send to everyone else? That the Emperor can be openly betrayed and played for a fool? That the Emperor isn't trusted to handle opposition? Or that it's okay to run off and do whatever you want as long as it's for the good of the alliance? I killed Jorgan and Koth for disobeying me, I can't justify keeping Theron alive, especially at the expense of losing someone exceptionally loyal like Lana. If it is a ruse then I would at least like the option to give Theron a more "in the field" role like the Spectres from ME. In which case he would be kept far away from the inner circle, at least publicly.
  15. I liked all my SI companions. So I won't say worst but least favorite. That would be Xalek. He's just a dull and one-note Sith character. Doesn't contribute anything to the SI's life except as decoration for ship and home.
  16. I agree OP. It would have been nice to have some side story content... and the alliance stuff does not count as a side story. I can understand not having it while trying to escape from Zakuul, the linear point A to Point B is actually understandable in the first few chapters, but I figured that eventually going into hiding somewhere would make it possible to now delve into some side stories, but that never happened. Then once I reached Odessen, I figured it was side story time, and all I got was an outdated convo system and grindage.
  17. ^This. Anyone who thinks these chapters provide 15 dollars worth of content is exactly the type of delusional fan BW is making their money off of. It's why they have no reason to really change. If anything the entire KOTFE story is worth 15 bucks.
  18. A season 2...lol!! I knew they were gonna either end the game or keep milking that cash cow. There is no way it's worth it to keep subbing every month for 20 to 30 min "chapters" I'd rather they just come right out and make a real episodic star wars game with the same length and prices as telltale. But then why do that when you can charge $15.00 a month for a 30 min segment of story. Oh BW, you so crafty. lol! My plan is to simply wait until all of S2 is done and just pay for the entire season...if it's any good. That at least sounds way more sensible than shelling out a monthly sub.
  19. I asked this same question in the new player form. From what I was told, yes. You can 100% skip them with no impact on the rest of the story. I can vouch for it. I went ahead and did the Heroics to unlock all of the "Destroying Star fortresses" alliance missions and so far I've only done one of those. I then decided to continue on with the rest of the story and so far it means nothing. I can't speak for the future, but right now, the little crates I turned in to the alliance peeps and doing some of the Star Fortresses stuff has had no impact whatsoever on the rest of the chapters. I hope it stays that way because I really don't want to do anymore Alliance stuff.
  20. I'm firmly in the camp that SWTOR shouldn't have been an MMO to begin with. It's a crappy unoriginal mmorpg, it's mmo mechanics are nothing new at all. Any player can play any number of mmos on the market who does it better than BW. The only thing BW excel at (in some way) is the story content which doesn't require a group to play anyway. And it's the story that draws folks into giving the game a shot, not the mmo aspects. Sure, a Star Wars mmo may have drawn some in, but the novelty has worn off for most. If anything, BW is realizing that they would rather tell a single player story than create more terrible mmo content. What makes BW shady (In my opinion) is charging a monthly sub for what is pretty much a poorly implemented single player episodic game. But because of the MMO title, they can get away with it...after all, they're not really deceiving anyone since it is an MMO. I think BW was hoping that KOTFE revive the game and keep it going and it is in some ways, I've met a few players who say they are only playing for the story and don't care at all for the alliance stuff, pvp, raids et al. So I know that once KOTFE is done the only players who will be left are mmo players and some star wars fans. By then, I think BW would move on to creating a single player star wars game again or try to milk more sub money by creating yet another episodic expansion. IMO, I think KOTFE's end should simply be the end of the game.
  21. Koth- He's gonna die. The moment I get a "kill Koth" prompt I'm taking it. Tried to claim my ship as his own, and he's an annoying hypocrite. Ashara-I don't hate her or love her. My Inquisitor romanced her just to use her, only for the romance to bug me out of a full legacy. Goodbye Ashara. Jorgan- I don't know yet but he's headed to my killzone. Kalyio (however her named is spelled)- I like her, but she has no long term place in my new empire. My Inquisitor plans to use her until her usefulness is depleted. So far everyone else is alright. lol!
  22. Thanks for the replies everyone! I had no idea about the terminal! I'm tempted to try it but I'll wait for the story to bring them back. I'll try to balance the game with some Heroics to get the lock crates to build up some amount of alliance rep before moving on to Chapter Ten. I was afraid to push forward out of fear that I would be locked out of recruiting my old companions or that my alliance wouldn't be strong enough for me to play any new story content.
  23. Hey, I'm still pretty much new, only been playing for about two weeks maybe a bit more. I'm in the middle of KOTFE and I'm at the building alliance content. To be blunt. I freaking hate it. I'm only interested in getting my old companions back and nothing more. Plus, I only got a sub to get the expansions because what I'm really into is the interactive story not the kotr mute "convos", PvP, Heroics, Flashpoints (although I don't mind if I can solo them), weekly, and dailys. The problem is, is that most of these alliance influence missions are all about grinding lock crates and doing everything I mentioned above to recruit characters. Is it possible to skip all of the Alliance content (save recruiting old companions, which doesn't require grinding) and just jump straight into Chapter 10 + or is this Alliance content important to the story to the point of barring story content due to not having a strong alliance? Or can I still build a strong alliance by just progressing with the rest of the chapters?? Please don't tell me how easy it is to just grind out the Pvp, heroics, and FP. I didn't sub to do any of that and I find it mind numbingly tedious. I just want to jump into the stories again, get my character's voice back along with my old companions, and just have fun.
  24. Necro I know. I just gotta rant cause I'm new and stuff I just started playing not too long ago so after going through the class and location story quests with dialogue, cut scenes, and voice acting (lvled from 1 to 65) these alliance quests feel like a such a major drag. I'm sure the reason why no one complained about the last expansion (which I played just before KOTFE) is because you're not expected to have a back and forth convo with the quest giver in those side missions. But I'm expected to build influence with these Alliance peeps and it just feels hollow. Fine, I was able to get over it...that is until I came across my droid companion from the vanilla game and got the same mute PC ugly black bar crap. Then I saw a mission to recruit another old companion and I just stopped playing because it seems like I'm going to get the same mute PC deal while running into companions who haven't seen me in 5 years. It's one thing to get a quest and not say anything, but when I'm expected to have dialogue options et al then it's totally different. Not to mention the fact that this outdated system doesn't even seem like a step up from the voiced dialogue. Remaining silent or glaring are not what I consider a vast variety of options.
