  1. Powertech Adv. Prototype. Stuck at step ""Travel to Tram Market" Wasn't in there prior to any maintenance. Quest stucked before when I had to enter the Zildrog Hideout. Door remained red however. Resetted quest, started over. Now it keeps stucked at step "Travel to Tram Market"
  4. It isn't as bad as it used to be, but I constantly have to reselect the BLC T4+5 upgrades on my Ocula. ;(
  5. In case of seismics, no, cause they ignore shields Edit: I'd like to add: For me as a scout pilot, those mines are the nemesis. They not only ignore sields, but they also do damage when you destroy them and considering your dialogue with Nyghtrunner, it is nearly impossible for me to chase a Rampart and not run into one of those little beasts^^
  6. I don't know, wether it has been asked or adressed yet, so sorry if yes. But what happens to the GSF crew members? Will they stay or will the changes to the companion systems have any influence on that?
  7. It is possible. But until I read your text I was sure, my crosshairs were within the firing arc although at the very edge of it. Now I'm not sure about it anymore. I will pay attention to it during my next matches. But you are describing the issue pretty spot on, so maybe it's that. Crazy
  8. I found out about this one last year by a thread within this forum. Since then I do exactly that, which increased my aiming from terrible terrible bad to almost showable. So we can eliminate that. Now that you mention it, I had situations, where the enemy would pop into pieces without me seeing any shooting animation or hearing any lasersound, yet regarding the killmessage, it was me who dealt the killing blow. So I guess it is an animation bug. Yes....I have a talent for that and I can see rep drones and hyperspace beacons laughing at me at least once a match. Ok, so I wasn't aware that there is a bug. I flew a match today and happened to stumble in a situation similar described as above. I approached a bomber under a node already low on health. I pointed my crosshairs a bit in front of him (as you mentioned) and pressed the left mouse button. Obviously nothing happened but after reading this I payed attention to my blaster energybar and whitnessed my energy pool decreasing 2 times. After the second time, the bomber exploded. So I guess I fired two shots that I didn't see or hear, of which the first one missed and the second one hit. Yes it did. Yet the rocket pod problem remains. In another match I chased a Starguard with my Blackbolt. I was behind him at 600m, his ship was at the border of the rocketpods' targeting arc, my crosshairs within it. No shots went off. I watched the ammo count and it didn't go lower. As the Starguard gained distance, the missiles could be fired again. Maybe the same issue, only that the system thinks, my crosshairs is outside the firing arc? Thanks so far Crazy
  9. I was just about to resurrect this jewel of a thread. Question concerning rocket pods and BLCs. It sometimes happens, that I press the designated mousebuttons and nothing happens. I can't reproduce it but in my subjective impression it happens mostly, when my targeting circle is close to the border of the weapons' firing arc and the target is closer than 1000m (+/- 200). Additionally with BLCs it seems to always occur when there is only one shot needed to finish the opponent. Example for better understanding: I try to kill a bomber circling a node. I have him to almost zero health and find myself behind him. Since we are doing the merry-go-round, he is as well at the border of my firing arc as my crosshairs. I press the left mouse button (for BLCs) and...tilt...when I press the button again and hold it, the shot will go off and sometimes finish the opponent, sometimes not. Rocketpods same issue. Internet connection is stable. And latency issues only in those situations? Anyone else encountering this?
  10. I know, I have to check my equipment, but forgetting it thus resulting in very unpleasant situations keeps frustrating me. Starting a domination match in a Bloodmark, realizing my tensorfield vanished, Launching in a sting without system ability and missiles, having a jurgoran without slug rail...... the list goes on and on. It gets even more frustrating, when you have to wait 30 +/- minutes for a match to pop.
  11. Hm...why not make the plasma railgun shieldignoring? Hear me out.... You take away the DOT component, make it exclusive for the said gunship. Possible T1 upgrade: 10% reduced charge time Possible T2 upgrade: lesser weaponenergy drain Possible T3 upgrade: crit chance increased by 8% Possible T4 and T5 upgrades: Range increase, increased hulldamage, maybe a dot component but not as strong as currently, melted armor for 6 seconds..... Defenses agaiinst it: Scouts still have their evasion and since it lacks an accuracy buff, not much would change. Except, IF they hit, it's bad news.....like with every other railgun. Bombers and strikes have armored plating, since it lacks an armor penetration skill. Gunships: They have to rely on their passives, yet every gs would have the offensive potential to contest the Dustmaker/Cometbbreaker. Mangler and Jurgoran have BLCs and Slug, both with 100% armor penetration and the opposing dustmaker would have a plasma with shield ignorance. And on the pro side for the gunship, plasma and proton combo would make sense. The main problem I see, is when you take those up against new players, but then, you can rolfstomp new players with about every ship out there. Ah hell...just thinking loudly ^^ Don't mind me. Crazy
  12. Additionally to Danalon's and Draks tips, try to use a co-pilot who gives you "Running Interference" (Kendra Novar or Treek, if I'm correct). You trade in the offensive potential of "Wingman" but increase your survivability. When I fly a Sting with "Wingman" I hit enemies a lot more, especially scouts. When I hunt gunships, however, especially when they are stacked, I need more survivability and there is nothing more frustrating than chasing one sniper and get ionized by his buddy. I have the (subjective) impression that this happens a lot less, when using "Running Interference".
  13. First page, top thread, the sticky one: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=729222 Drakolich's "20 questions thread", where he answeres...uhm...questions http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=741384 Aaaaaaand his twitchstream, where you can see the maestro in action: http://www.twitch.tv/drakolich Have fun flying and killing stuff. ^^ Crazy Aunt Edit says, that someone was faster.
  14. To be honest, I am more scared of an approaching Sting/Flash with BLCs than a gunship sitting still 15km away. It has been repeated countless times on these forums, so I'll keep my response a little short. A gunship is dangerous, IF...hear me out...IF it is left alone. As soon as you charge it, he has to bail. When he bails, he can't use his main weapon. You helped your team by occupying a dangerous opponent. And now the kicker: You can do that in a stock Novadive or Blackbolt. You probably won't kill him, but you will prevent him from climbing up the killboard....mission accomplished. If you die, and you will, respawn, find him and chase him again. Make it your personal goal of your matches to chase a gs and survive as long as you can. The more experienced you get, the longer you will survive, the more you will be able to kill him. Promise. Now to the 4 gs scenario: If you are the only scout to chase a gs and you get killed by the other 3 constantly while your team mates are trying to figure out how to retract their landing gear, than this is not a balance issue, this is a case of lack of teamplay and/or lack of experience. And everyone has been down that road, believe me. And finally: If you are flying against 4 scouts with BLCs, you will be dead as fast as if targeted by 4 slugs simultanously. That is coming from someone who rode the "F***-all-GS-nobrain00rz"-Train when he started GSF a year ago. Until I made it my personal goal to focus them down. I still die a lot, but every kill is satisfying and not nearly as impossible to achieve, as a lot of mostly new players want to make everyone believe. Well...not as short as I wanted but maybe it helps to lower your frustration level. Crazy
  15. What a great opportunity. One year too late for me....sadly. But still... a great opportunity for every new gsf member who seriously wants to become a better pilot. And since he is Canadian, he can't yell at you if you screw up. Crazywolf tihihihi
"MIR machts kein Spaß, also darf es NIEMANDEM Spaß machen".
  18. I don't think so. At least when your concerns are about gsf-matches only. Communication is almost none existent despite a few words at the beginning. Something like: "<-- Bomber A" or sometimes: "<- Speedbuff" The rest are the usual jewels of tactical advice like: "Don't fly into their gunship/bombercloud alone" or some trolls flaming around. After a few rounds, you will get the picture. You won't get the rest of the serverlife, though, but if I understand you correctly, you are only interested in flying there, right? If you want to know, wether you could give advice during the match, I'd say that most of the german players do speak a descent amount of english. You might get a few hints like: "Talk German plz. This is a german server!" But you can just ignore those.
