  1. Yes, the same happened to us as well :-(. And we thought it will get better with Fallen Empire, instead it got worse :-(.
  2. Yea, guess we'll have to live with it . Casual is ok if it means more accessible and short term gains is ok if this allows me shorter game sessions, but why this has to co-exist with group story content cuts... I don't know :-(. Guess this way they loose classic MMO-players and all people who just enjoyed playing story arcs with their friends.
  3. Exactly my thoughts. Thank you! :-) I / we enjoyed the story content with friends and family and now this oppertunity is gone as its single player centric only. Instead they should have delivered story content which is (optionally) setup to be played coop in a group.
  4. I agree, Star wars is story, Swtor is story. BUT: Why can't I have story content that can be progressed as a group? Sure I can invite a friend into my campaign instance, but the other players character is never part of the story, nor is his/her progress stored. Everyone has to finish the campaign on his/her own. While the original Swtor beyond the class quests has tons of planet wide/ overall story arcs that can be played, experienced and progressed through as a group. And by rolling on dialog options every player has a potential chance on influencing a dialog and his outcome. This is now completely lost in the new chapter content. Is really no one missing to play with their friends story quests and enjoy to be on a journey through the Star Wars universe together? (And no, operations/ flashpoints/ daily quests are no replacement for this experience).
  5. Sure I see the point with single-player "class story style" quest arc. But the twist of SWTOR always was that you had tons of story quests per planet that was playable in a group. And the ability that every player in the group could potentially choose the next dialog option made it fun (and sometimes chaotic, but fun ) to play story quests in a group. (that is what I meant with group content, not the usual MMO daily quest/ raiding grinder). And there was an overall story arc per planet/ overall that was not dependend on the class stories (which were great by the way) and which allowed you to progress through it as a group. And that aspect is now completely lost with the expansion. Hm, but seems the majority doesn't care, which is fine of course. I'm just confused that everybody plays a at least coop-style game and no one is wondering why content just became single player centric only.
  6. But was is then the point of being an MMO? Then it is single player only.
  7. Hi everyone, so I started playing the campaign together with my wife and up until Chapter 3 and I'm asking myself: Is this pure single player content? What I experienced so far: * No coop-dialogs anymore where you can "roll dices" to decide which player can choose the next dialog option in your group. Instead all dialogs are only focused on the campaign "owner". This was in my eyes one of the best parts of Swtor in the past, the dynamics that were created by different opinions within the group of players, which sometimes led to "complicated" situations in group dialogs if someone decided to go the total opposite way then the rest of the group . * The campaign progress is only stored for the campaign "owner". Why is this so? I'd like to play through the whole campaign coop with my wife and friends. Instead we have to replay the campaign for each of us seperately (which leads to the point were one of us basically has to re-watch the same story). * even worse: If a chapter is completed the "invited" player/ players are kicked out of the campaign and you miss the transition cutscenes between 2 chapters. Why is this so? Which brings me to the next questions. Beyond chapter 3, are there any classical planets with quest hubs, side and main quests that you can play coop with your friends? Or does it always stay the same single-player focused experience? In short. Is the fallen empire content at all at any point really playable coop with other players? Or is it single-player content only were you can invite other players, but only the main player keeps the progress? While the story is great so far, the non-coop aspect kills the game for me :-(. Am I the only one feeling this way? .. even weirder I see no test or preview article mentioning this (not even any forum post here so far), apparently everyone only plays on his own.. which is weird in an MMO or at least coop-centric game.
