  1. I'd like to see a big expansion so... Raise the level cap New planets... well known ones Another chapter or two in class stories - they are best aspect of the game by far A new class on each side New species New warzones
  2. I find the opposite on my server, I generally have a better PvP experience on my Republic characters, though we still lose badly at times. You also get less quitting and raging in chat. Trying to level a new Imp character in the lower brackets in the past few weeks was a painful experience, I don't know if that was because perhaps the really new players try Imp first or from a lack of healers (seems lower level Imp don't like healing). But the stupidity was unbearable at points, I'm enjoying levelling a Guardian much more. The queues pop much quicker for Rep too so that is a plus. I think its much more likely most the younger and newer people go Imp cause its 'cool' to be evil.
  3. I agree totally with this, the colour combinations I'm seeing on the GTN are ridiculous and it seems extremely unfair to have to gamble on packs on the slim chance of getting the one colour you are after - they should at least sell you the exact colour you want for these crazy cartel prices. Does a primary only of black or white even exist?? Does it really need to be that rare? I'd be happy for Artificers to be able to rake in some money if they gave them at least primary or secondary only black, white, brown, red, yellow, blue etc - doesn't have to be fancy colours or the combination dyes, just some dyes that would actually be useful and not a complete eyesore. This whole system could be so simple - yet its been designed to be complex and hard to get exactly what you want just so they can make some money.
  4. My level 23 Jedi Guardian and first male character I've properly played, male Cathar just look better to me! Loved the fact the new collections features meant I could use Valiant Jedi armour set from level 1 without buying whole thing again. http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y403/stephfost86/sc1_zps4265e5fa.jpg http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y403/stephfost86/sc3_zps1dd79528.jpg http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y403/stephfost86/sc2_zpsad110d87.jpg
  5. 9 times out of 10 when I see people screaming abuse at the rest of the team they tend to come near bottom of the leaderboard or they leave. They generally have done crap all to contribute to the team so I write off most people immediately when they decide to tell everyone else how much they suck. So despite I don't think you are actually being serious... this situation is rare, in fact I don't think I have once had to decide whether to vote an abusive player MVP or not.
  6. They need to do something about the leavers that is for sure. Countless times I've seen people quit just because the other team caps the nodes first as if that is an indicator of who will win? The amount of times teams are losing and people scream 'you guys suck' and ragequit only for us to turn the match around and win. Why is it so difficult for some idiots just to finish a match whether you win or lose? Can you only PvP if a win is going to be handed to you on a plate? Its equally annoying to get put into a match with minutes left and your team has already lost, thanks for wasting my bloody time quitter who couldn't wait one minute for the match to end!! Some sort of debuff so they can't join another match for a while would sort it out. It might piss off people who crash, but I doubt it'll happen often enough to be too big a deal.
  7. I'm not exactly surprised they would try charge everyone for the new race. They charge F2P for some ridiculous things already like quick bars, titles, hiding helmets etc - seems like they are trying to get money anyway possible. But I think its liveable that some races might be Cartel purchase only. As long as its not too expensive for subscribers to save up for, its really a cosmetic item in the end after all. I think it would be better not to charge subscribers - but I doubt there is anyway to stop them from trying to rake cash in now. It doesn't need to mean that everything is doom and gloom and all future races will go to the Cartel shop, they can and should still make some for future updates/expansions and subscribers only. Now if they start charging subscribers for content updates that are too small to be expansions... then it will turn into a major problem.
  8. Couldn't disagree more, I think they need to give more for free. The restrictions on game mechanics such as quick bars are too much, I think people should be able to play the main stories pretty much unhampered. Restrictions on endgame, character slots, banks, inventory, mail etc are fine but penalties on cash and XP is just ridiculous. Once Bioware get themselves around to actually pumping out some real content updates and expansions they should feel free to charge F2P as they want, but the base game should be there to enjoy without restrictions. Surely its better to let someone enjoy the game, get hooked and have them pay for future content?
  9. Sents/Mara's are probably the most balanced class in my eyes, we can really put out some crazy damage but it requires some skill to do so. All calls for nerfs are clearly from people who don't know how the class plays, whine when they are beaten 1v1 or haven't took the time to look up our specs properly. Only Combat spec has a ranged root and Combat spec is in need of a serious boost in my eyes, I think most people go Watchman... otherwise we have a channelled CC which is easy to counter with an interrupt or knock back. Without defensive cool downs we are squishy as hell - not only that we have to get into melee range and stay there with a million snares/roots and knock backs raining down on us. We would suck without those cool downs, and if you play against a good team who snares/roots you smartly we are pretty much useless. If you still struggle to kite us despite all our disadvantages then maybe don't fill our resolve bars instantly? Out of all the classes I've tried I think it takes the most skill and concentration to shine in PVP with so if you constantly get beat by some Sents/Maras then sorry you've likely been out played.
  10. I use it often enough as Watchman spec, though only after I've used focus and I'm waiting for other stuff to cooldown. Its best to save it for when someone is rooted/slowed, even if they move they don't usually get out of distance to stop the third hit. And obviously use it a lot against the idiots who don't try run from me and other melee of course.
  11. I would definitely suggest Watchman spec aswell. I levelled to 50 with Combat spec and I could do some nice damage with it and it was fun, the extra roots etc are what I miss most about it... but I didn't feel like I was putting out nearly as much damage as I saw Watchman Sentinels doing. I decided to try it out and there is no going back to Combat for me now, it took a while to get used to a new rotation but my survivability is so much better, overall damage output is way up and there is the bonus of healing myself and my team (plus extra medals). Popping bubbles and healing up with Zen has saved me or gave me that little extra time to get a kill countless times. The lower cooldown of force kick also means I can make healers lives hell... I generally make that my job in WZ's and being able to shut down Bounty Hunters and their tracer spam is fun too.
  12. Oh yea of course that's what I just said, I'm taking advantage of that 10-49 bracket right now at level 18 against all those level 40 players. Sucks to be them against my armour and skill advantage.
  13. Yea I better 'learn to play' because I go from being top medal winner on my side 10-49 to being stomped all over at 50. Logically of course the fact I hit 50 and suddenly get put against people with Battlemaster/Champion gear couldn't at all be the problem. I'm just that crap I'm suddenly playing against all the awesome people who vastly out skill me and I better just keep mindlessly throwing myself at them until I eventually get 'better'. I'd rather not 'learn to play' and I'll stick to PVP on my low level alt against all the other **** people like me since I seem to stand a chance against them. But thanks for the suggestion.
  14. This will only encourage PVP... anyone whining about the gap being closed a little aren't playing for a real test of their skills in my opinion. They just want an easy win, and they want to feel 'special' in their full Battlemaster gear. There needs to be a set of gear that can be obtained easier/quicker that at least gives you a step up while you grind for better gear. Keeping in mind of course the people who were 50 first... you guys had it insanely easier to obtain that gear when there was no 50 pvp bracket and you didn't have people who vastly out geared you to compete against (not to mention all the Ilum exploiting that went on). I PVP'd while levelling quite a lot and I was usually top three in the charts for my side (won more often then lost), I hit 50 and suddenly its like smashing my head off a brick wall. There is 100% a problem and unless you want to end up with fewer and fewer people to fight against as time goes on you'll welcome the changes. New players shouldn't be punished for coming into the game later. Right now I've given up on even trying to PVP on my 50 Sentinel, I don't feel like having to do tonnes of PVE (or stand around that one bridge in Ilum farming people) to try close the gear gap and at the moment I'm just being stomped on without a chance of doing anything much productive. So I've started an alt instead, leveling that in hopes some changes will happen to PVP that won't result in it being a frustrating pointless mess. And surprise surprise despite I'm level 18 being bolstered against level 30-40 players I'm coming top in medals again and I can actually kill something!
  15. Any excuses they come up with are simply not acceptable, there is no reason we can't have our maintenance in the early hours of Tuesday a few hours before Americans get their maintenance if need be... How would it negatively affect anyone? Anyone moaning we would get updates earlier by a few hours is being unreasonable, most people wouldn't even be up and playing the game by the time American servers were back online. Couldn't more obviously be treating us like second class customers with this. Americans get their servers took down during the early hours of the morning... ours are MID day until EVENING in some parts of EU. And if problems crop up oh look we get our prime time cut into. This wouldn't be allowed to happen in the US, but because they have a slightly larger community they get catered to and we just have to deal with what we are given. Today is a bank holiday in the UK, I had no time to play Xmas and Boxing Day, I was looking forward to my game time today and I didn't get the chance to log on until 7pm. Can you imagine the forums if Americans had lost an entire day of game time that we have PAID for?
