Vanguard is very bursty in damage which actually makes them really good in group oriented pvp. And having a sheild generator is awesome.

Must keep line of sight, they can not be immune to CC effects, and can not be behind cover. Im sheild spec and use storm more often then harpoon. It can be used effectively but i usually keep it for when a sith does a force sprint to save their life then using harpoon to get them back (or in huttball to pull back ball carriers). It works as needed but theres more then just "oh its CD is done -fires-".

Pet? Elara is not a pet lol. But yes at lvl 40 vanguard shield spec is wonderful. Im rolling it now at 40 and i can solo a lot more things. Also if you are in a group it means you can run through things much faster too. In PVP shield spec does make you a target. Though in warzones like Viodstar and Alderaan you can lead enemies away from the objective once they engage you so your team can take them. It really is useful and you feel like a real troll. Problem?

I noticed that as well. I planted 2 bombs, extended the bridge and one shield in Voidstar and got nothing. Actually i got 3 medals and yes someone who ran around shooting got 6. I do think there should be a bonus for objectives (not just 500 exp... come on in level 40 i get more for killing a mob) but also for winning.

You have to remember at lower levels with people getting new skills and trying new things, there will be some imbalances.

Arent wives amazing for that. Well i dont know if this is a rumor or not (havent seen anything official from BioWare) but apparently the servers are capped really low for Early Access so at launch there will be a base population.

Defense seems to be kinda moot at low level too. But at 40+ once you go into the increased shielding proc the extra chance to evade attacks really goes nicely.

If you also just bring he questing by like 35 youll get her up halfway too. Shes pretty damn awesome if you are a Sheild Spec Vanguard.

Sounds like more of a personal problem that class imbalances.

Mhmm, and guys its been a day. Have some patience, read a book, clean up the house, do something to pass the time. It is worth the wait. They gave us 2 extra days of Early Access, calm down people. They even stated this MONTHS out that this was how theyd be doing thing. In a week everyone can get on, and they want to make sure EVERYONE can. This is a test period for BW. ps Just because you are mad does not represent the entire population of pre-orders (which are actually around 950,000 not 2 million).

Wave system is the best to test server stability and fix problem easily. Your arguments are moot.
