  1. Also they need to do some serious remodelling of Carrick Station, compaired to the Imperial Station Carrick looks like we bought a second hand Hutt station for cheap. Instead of the multitude of shades of brown that the station had (who new there were so many shades of brown?) it should be all clean and futuristic, akin to Akbars ship bridge from Return of the Jedi or hells like the Enterprise from the new Star Trek. Even look at the Dark Side vendor in the Republic Fleet, its got trash strewn all over it. Talk about getting the ****** end of the stick. Oh and can we for once go to a planet were winning on instead of one thats been dicked over by the Imperial again for the 6 bajllionth time??? It gets old fast.

  3. Yes the CC and the resolve system are very annoying systems. If they want to keep resolve then all it need to do is the % of resolve you have = the duration of the CC lasts. 50% = 2 sec cc full bar (or maybe 99.9% that still results in us being CC'd for the full 4 seconds) the cc just interrupts the current spell. There system fixed. Also i don't think knock downs should work on players as the standing up period is messed up, as it feels that i have to manually stand up. While were init can we have some degree of immunity to pushes and pulls? having them chained one after the other is going to leave us with the Death Knights Deathgrip scenario.
  4. T4 has a decent number of customization the one off of the security key vendor gives him a dome top. There are at least 3 or 4 for Qyzen fess. there are something close to 15 customization for Khem val and yes Aric Jorgan has only 1 customization - I feel sorry for my wife who has only him as her romanticable option.

Pulling out the shotty for Wounding shots 3x Booms would be amazing. 10m tho i think would be a little bit on the shortside as there are bosses that require you to be out of 10m range. 15 - 20m range would be better suited. its not to far like all the other ranged classes but gives you a little bit of leg room to work with for positioning etc.
  6. As far as im aware the talent Open Wound that extends the duration of vital shot does just that it doesn't give you an extra tick, just a longer time to use another wounding shots. The 9 sec CD is rather annoying to be honest, especially when its 30 energy for GS so if you get LoS'd (as you cant runcast the ability) or inturrupted you lose the energy cost and have to wait the 9 seconds. If you can get the ability to gain upperhand easier than having to wait the 9 secs id say stick with it. Im also a supporter of a 20m DF scoundrel
  7. Yes id like there to be an AC change ability but i also want it to penalize you to do so. My suggestion would be that you lose half a level. Respec AC at 50 ---> become a level 49.5 toon Respec AC at 39.8 ---> become a level 38.5 toon Credits wise it should be 100k + % of your total credits of that faction.
  8. Yeah i thought that was the case, i agree it doesnt do much but is a great way of mitigating some damage and getting stacks. I think if the Troopers version was more akin to the BH's graphically it probably would be used more often.

I personally feel 30m may be a little to much range for Scoundrels. as it gives the Gunslinger/Sniper a very small advantage (5m) on range, at least with 20m they have the 15m to which to play with. Granted i havent done any Operations but for FPs i usually fight (as a DF GS) at around 20m sure i can engage further away and do, but once the fight is going on i usually sit around 20m
  10. The thing is for Gunslingers is that its also a 30 energy cost. the 9 sec cd isnt really needed cos of how expensive the ability is especially when they only get extra energy from dot crits.
  11. 15 - 20m range for the scoundrel DF abilities wouldnt be that crazy youd still be out ranged by trooper/bh and gunslinger/sniper counterparts. As i gunslinger myself i wouldnt mind that to much at all, that coupled with a way of gaining upperhand without pistol whip (through dots as someone mentioned earlier) would make it a decent spec.
  12. I thank you all for your responses, it makes me feel a little bit more secure in my gameplay as you seem to be in the same boat as me (somewhat) but have a lot more experience. I have been using Hammer shot to heal, so i will definitely stop that. The line of sight tip is something ive been trying to do but i will try to be more aware of it as im starting to loathe tracer missile. Last question on this. Our hammer shot heal is a big green beam of obviousness, what is the Bounty Hunters version?
  13. I appreciate the response. I cant even seem to put the damage output to be able to kill an enemy target, even with healing. Trust me i seem to be killed the most by Tracer missile spam, and single blade using warriors, i assume they have the 20% healing debuff i hear about. And im aware that im not supposed to be able to tank alot of players like a paladin but i just wanted to make sure if i was right in feeling that i cant seem to out heal or survive the damage im taking.
  14. Ive searched for some threads on this. I am currently Valor rank 25 and level 32 I am having a seriously had time surviving and being able to take on pretty much anything on one on one. Juggernauts, Bounty hunters, Sorcs after a while all tear me apart. And its starting to get very very frustrating. I feel im clad in plastic armor not plasteel, i am very squishy and only seem to be able to delay the inevitable until i run out of ammo and die, I have all my 23 points in Combat medic i have the push back talents and trauma probe. To any other Combat Medics out there... what am i doing wrong? is there something im missing or do i have to wait till im level 40?
  15. 10m is not mid ranged. As someone that has the full 35m to use, i can tell you that you will chafe at 10m, I am DF all the way 20m is where i usually stick to.

  17. I read this thread last night and wanted to post my thoughts. I play this spec from a Gunslinger side, and i know your asking more from the Scoundrel perspective but i thought the view from the other side of the fence may help. I should start off with saying i love the Dirty Fighting spec (tho the name is odd as i'm not really fighting dirty) From the Gunslinger side i get the longer range of actually 30m as that is shrap grenades range, and my wounding shots is on a 9 second cool down. The lack of needing upperhand to be able to use these abilities is great, as you can fire them off when they are available however for wounding shots as it is 30 energy and as a DF GS i run dry fast, with that hefty cost for the ability i dont know why its on a 9 second cool down... it really doesnt need to be. I digress. From the Gunslinger side of things the spec is still missing something, and i feel its the something that scoundrels have, and that is the ability to get out of combat or engage when you are ready to. Which boils down to stealth. now from what ive seen i would suggest the following changes to your tree to make it better. A talent 20 points ish that allows your dot crits or something dot related to give you upperhand Cold Blooded to increase the range on your attacks (Hemo, wounding and quickshots) by either 10m or 15m at 3/3 that would make you a 20m - 25m range fighter and that would in my opinion give the spec the bit of polish it would require. and make me jealous as hell for not picking scoundrel.
  18. I agree i tried to go for a mor techy look on armors. I went on to the Imp GTN and bought a load of decent looking armor. sadly when i rebought it off of the Hutt trade network they were just the same old stuff id been wearing as before. It was an expensive mistake. While were on aesthetics id love to be able to use other weapons. As were supposed to be space cowboys and all and im sure cowboys also used rifles and shotguns not only pistols. i feel also that troopers should be able to use all weapons with out penalty, im sure the republic has snipers and the like. Hells reverse grip light sabers Jedi Knights with double bladed, shadows with single blade and so on... Well lets hope the future brings more customisation... or hells legacy system.
  19. Coming from a Gunslinger side of things (boo hiss i know), when the Hemo stacks are up and you use wounding shots the internal damage proc do seem to eat up the hemo charges. I dont know if this is supposed to happen but i have noticed that the stacks will drop by two every time the wounding shots hits, yes i am making an assumption but its an odd coincidence.
  20. Ive stated this before in another thread. But why hasnt any other game taken the Guild Wars method of separating abilities for PvP and PvE. An ability for PvE would do X amount of damage and stun the mob for Y about of time. Same ability in PvP would do A amount of damage and snare or stun the player for B amount of time. With there being PvP gear and PvE gear separating the abilities for different aspects would help in balancing one for PvP but not borking it for PvE. It does seem like theyve somewhat gone down that path with the 30% healing reduction when you get in to PvP. Granted you'd have to give someone a reason to wear pvp like suggesting that the PvP abilities will crit for 10x times the ability with someone not wearing a certian amount of expertise gear. i dont know, i do agree however that the gear based style that seems the norm is a little tiresome
  21. Just 'cos i havent seen it mentioned yet; Why a) has noone mentioned the Guild Wars method of PvP/PvE balance and b) why did BW go with the WoW method and not the GW method?
  22. I can appreciate the sentiment, Once i was able to get wounding shots i switched to full DF. The maneuverability is great and i never really had much problem with energy until i hit the 2/3rd rotation. I have to admit tho the fact that wounding shots is both on a cd and has 30 energy cost is a bit silly as the cost its self is rather prohibitive. If the DF for the Scoundrel was as good as the Gunslinger version i would agree with you, let me change to scoundrel nao!... even if the range was reduced to 20m. However from what i hear managing dots energy and upperhand as a DF scoundrel is a real pain in the *** and makes it a little to tough to play, as much as i would enjoy it i think that they have a harder time. I recently switched to the SabSlinger build (posted in the stickied thread in the GS part iirc) It is a lot of fun. Doesn't allay any of the problems (laggy cover et all, being squishy as hell or being lightninged till my eyes bleed) but it is a much better spec.
  23. My wife noticed something earlier when she asked me to make her some Level 4 starship upgrades. Level 2 Armor 3000 Toughness - Blasters + 3 damage per shot Level 4 Armor 2650 Toughness - Blasters + 4 damage per shot. Where as the shield, regenerator and missile magazines are markedly better. The beam generator only increases the shots per second by two and has the same ship toughness increase (which you have to reequip to get it to register) As for the mods. Its definitely easier just to buy the commendation mods.
  24. Is it me or is it waaaay to easy to delete items accidently? Heres the scenario; I have an item that would upgrade either myself or my companion. But instead of Right clicking it as some would do, i drag it over to my paper doll and i get a pop up menu (obviously i dont read it cos im to quick to get it equipped) but instead i delete it. Theres a second or two of where did it go? Then theres about 40 seconds of me swearing at myself and the game and anything else in my view (tonights target was some chapstick - curse that chapstick!) So is it me or is it way to easy to destroy items? or is my wife right with her Nelson -esq mocking of me?
