  1. Had I been frustrated, my topic would've started with "Unsub!!111" like the most of them Actually creating a suggestion topic was what the customer service advised me to do, I just tried to back it with an actual way out (of course there might be other options). As for additional recordings, it depends on how you organize it. Most of NPCs already have plenty of "generic" lines to choose from.
  2. Recently I wrote a bug report about seeing the Makeb introduction before completing my class storyline. In that introduction the Chancellor congratulated me on defeating [a certain class final boss] which hadn't happened yet. The answer was: though it's a spoiler, this is working as intended. Actually this isn't the first time when I saw NPCs reference future events, It just didn't occur to me to write all those cases down. I think many of you will agree: even if such dialogues don't spoil much, they still affect the gaming exerience for those who enjoy the story. Now, I understand that blocking quests for those who haven't completed some particular mission would only irritate players, but I believe there might be another solution. It would take quite a lot of effort just to track all these spoilers, but not if Community members join the hunt. We know for sure that scripts for any dialogues choose some lines based on variables: that's why NPCs know my gender/class and speak accordingly. Why not check the player's progress as well? //Let's say my final battle is a quest number 1138 if (quest_completed[1138]==true) { //show "Congratulations on your victory over [villain]! } else { //show some standard line like "You're cool!" or skip the section entirely } If that idea has already been implemented, then all I ask is to expand it on those cases where we might see spoilers and inconsistencies.
  3. During the last maintenance, it occurred to me that waiting for the servers to wake up was even more confusing, since it took a while to figure when was the maintenance scheduled to end, or if it has already ended. The thing is, being in another time zone, I always have to google "current time CDT" or "current time PDT" to realize that you mean "in 6 hours" or "in 1 hour" by your huge zone list. I know I could be more fluent with time zones, but why not make the launcher do the maths? Just add one simple counter: "Now it's October 15th, 5 PM CDT". Something that wouldn't depend on Windows system clock, or at least check it's zone. Let it be there all the time, and when the patch is coming - this box will become most useful. I know I'm not the only one struggling with zones. Just a small feature? Please?
  4. Yes. There are lots of things to be improved, but none of them is as bad as you can think after reading forum complaints here.
  5. I don't know yet whether it's a good solution, but anyway: A button "steal look". You like a certain helmet which is green? "Steal look" and you have the schematic of its orange version with zero stats in your inventory. Of course there may be restrictions, such as "Only Synthweavers can StealLook" or "You need to be level 50" or "The original item will be destroyed" or whatever. So far I see 2 downsides. First: no one will hunt purples anymore. But, well, the very concept of orange makes a huge step to that direction. Second: it will take a hutt's load of effort to write all that stuff into the database... But if applied wisely, an idea like that could do the trick.
  6. All right, I believe laws can be weird, BW knows better. What I don't believe is that there is no workaround. Gambling for Imperial cookies as mentioned above, or for free (yeah I know it's bad for game design). Cookies count as money? All right, it can be quests. A special quest chain for those who won 10 pazaak games? But if the problem is in the very nature of that game (cards)... what can I say, then it's very sad. I spent hours playing pazaak in Kotor, especially when the Galaxy was in imminent danger...
  7. Our fan-retcon about "Yu-on died, but not right away" could really work. But it gets worse: approximately at the end of Act 2 certain characters ask you if their assistance helped you, and your Consilar replies "Thank you, Yu-on is alive and well". "Ah, what a relief", they say. This time I can't think of any excuse.
  8. I'm a Seer Sage, and Project is the most powerful of my instants. Every time I switch to my DPS bar in the middle of combat, I attack with Telekinetic Throw and fill cooldown time with Projects. Maybe it's weak if you're DPS-specced, but that doesn't make it useless.
  9. While the speeders' speed change can affect balance or performing, I second the companions thing. In my suggestions thread I proposed another solution: let us make the companion inactive for mouse clicking. Anyway, I'd be glad if they resolved it somehow.
  10. Just a small list of things that would be really handy to have. I hope someone from the Bioware team will read it. 1) An option in the preferences "Companion can't be clicked except for combat time". Every time I loot the fallen enemy or a resource nod or talk to an NPC, my companion tends to find a position behind my back right where the cursor is - and, naturally, I often click him instead of the target. As my computer is rather slow, the game additionally slows down for a second while the script "Say random companion phrase" is being executed. Of course I've learned to watch his position all the time, but, to be honest, it's the most irritating thing in game controls for me. 2) The ability to read my other characters' mail and maybe friend lists without having to log in and out. If I just want to check my messages, why burden the processor with the entire new planet to do so? 3) A circle on the ground, similar to the ones which are used for area damage effects, for my area healing (Jedi Sage/Seer skill: Salvation). It's hard to track whether it's still active and where exactly do other players need to stand to benefit from it. 4) An ability "Emergency pass to the ship". I know we have the Fleet pass, but I (and lots of other players, I believe) think of the ship as my "home point", and it's incredibly convenient to be able to access the galaxy map and cargo hold without running through another set of corridors. Not to mention the ship loads faster because it's tiny. 5) Some kind of magnifying glass in the gear preview window (Ctrl+click). When I decide whether to buy/loot an orange-quality item, say, headband, that small picture isn't enough. Nothing else comes to my mind right now, so I just want to thank your for this great game, and let's hope it'll become even better. -- Consular Shaeron Thape, Trask Ulgo.
