  1. I spend too much money on this game, so I think I am going to take this as a sign to walk away, but after my ticket was not handled and then closed, I guess I will go ahead and report the issue before I go. Opened 60 crates, got a bunch of crap, including a handful of Tunings. I did not have two of them, I learned them on the character that opened the crates, added them to my collection. Now, with nearly everything else, save a few items, when I add them to my collection from a character, I can pull another copy from my collections for when I change weapons, or dual wield, but the Tuning I had just learned would not let me pull one on the same character that learned it unless I spent another 600 coins to unlock it for my account. No offense, but I think I've had enough. Ticket number 38180460, if anyone cares.
  2. Hey seriously guys.... I unlocked a crystal in my collections for my whole account, clicked the dialog, got a confirmation, saw the chat message and coins deducted, but no crystal. I double checked the ledger on the site, saw the deduction, still no crystal. I opened a ticket, gave all the information and days later I get...."Pandemic is causing delays in responses, blah, blah...tell me what character has the crystal in their inventory so I can help you further..." (roughly) <Ticket Closed> Really? So yeah, only 60 coins, I really don't care, but now it is the principle of the thing...either unlock the crystal I paid for or give me the coins back or I don't spend another dime on this game. Warmest regards...
  3. Post Onslaught, the seven lowest level Flashpoints are now the preferred place for high level players to farm shards and to a certain extent, gear. As a result, the level of toxicity towards newer or returning, inexperienced players is ramping up to an inappropriate level. High level players have started suggesting that new players should not be running any of these instances in veteran mode and not trying to complete weekly Flashpoint quests, or even queuing for random Flashpoint bonuses. This should not be acceptable. Suggestion: Tune Flashpoint rewards to increase based on the amount of trash in the zone cleared. More trash cleared, the more shards the bosses have. (Honestly, I've killed all the trash mobs that are typically skipped in Hammer Station and it adds maybe four minutes to the total run time) Suggestion: Give bonus shards to max level players when completing a Flashpoint with lower level players. Both of these with benefit newer, lower level or inexperienced players in that they will not be forced into cheese mechanics to skip encounters and the unnecessary deaths that come from not knowing how to "wall jump into the ceiling while pressing shift and jumping at an angle" (I kid, but some of the skip jumps are difficult without practice, like Athiss, Cademimu, and Ilum)
  4. It was an example of how the industry has pretty much shifted exclusively to 64bit and that having an application that is still being used, still maintained, still 32bit was a bit of an anomaly. Thanks all for your commentary, it has been enlightening!
  5. I get it and I I understand, but if they don't put that kind of support into the game, they will only make it to 10 or 11 years. Surely, the Star Wars IP is worthy of a modern MMO engine? Heck, every mobile game uses a 64bit engine now. I guess EA wins either way, cause they have the license, but if they choose to do nothing with it, save ride it as-is, I hope someone else takes it over.
  6. 64bit Improved Textures (or rather returned textures) Better animations/resolutions for distant objects No memory leak RTX Support (kidding, I think) I need to know before I spend more money, thanks
  7. Yep, bandwidth cap here as well. Such a pain in the rear to keep playing this game. None of my RL friends will play and just a handful of my WoW guild are still here. I can't imagine why they won't listen to my pleas to get them here.... Anyway, stopped the DL and am reinstalling from Disc, hoping that I will have less than 12Gb of patches between today and tomorrow (on top of the 900Mb I downloaded today).....GRRRRR
  8. Logged in at lunch, download a 900MB patch, finishes and I get an error when I tried to play. I log back in and now having to re-download the entire frippen game..... Did someone let James Ohlen into the server room or something? Christ...
  9. Hopefully they are getting the educated opinion of the brain trust that used an image of North and South America at night (city lights) for the night map of Tatooine. (yeah, go check, it is really NA/SA at night) That is the quality of people they have working on this issue, I am sure. Anyway, if you are really as upset about this as I am, you will put your money where your mouth is. Nothing motivates people like bad PR and loss of revenue -
  10. I know this, and you would too, but I guess you didn't read the post I quoted?
  11. PTR has AA and with everything on "High" there are still lego shadows everywhere. Or did you mean soon like "No ETA, but this will get you off our backs for now" developer speak soon?
  12. Just logged in to add my support to this thread and to report the posts that are obviously here to troll the thread. *And ignored the accounts* I am concerned that with the 1.1 update Bioware are effectively obfuscating the issue and hoping it quietly goes away. I am hoping for an amiable resolution to this issue, but frankly Biowares complete lack of response is quite telling. My account has been cancelled, as I feel the only way to send a clear message is with ending my financial support. I have been a long time Bioware customer, I have nearly every game and almost every collectors edition they have offered. I have purchased copies of many of these games for my children and family and feel that I have been swindled by a company that I trusted and who has made poor development decisions with respect to this product (i.e. HeroEngine and releasing six months to a year too early). If this issue is not even addressed formally by Bioware I will have purchased my final Bioware product and will no longer recommend games made by them. This has been the most disappointing product release I have witnessed in my 25+ years of gaming.
  13. Just as an FYI, they were enable on the first day of EGA. Texture detail was always something that bothered me in the SWTOR beta, but I was told that eventually it would be enabled. I was very happy tot see super crisp details on my budding consular. At some point they disabled them and honestly, my desire to play is waning because of it. Am I being shallow, yeah, but it is my choice. I have a really nice machine and video card and would like to see them utilized. Honestly, WoW and Rift are able to do it with Rift having very detailed gear with more people in a given area, why can't SWTOR?
